It is absolutely over priced and the food is just not what you expected in a so called 5 star hotel! We booked a table for 4 of us for a friends reunion lunch.
I ordered a Salomon Caesar Salad, when it came up, there was no romaine lettuce, no crotons, anchovies, no egg yolk with lemon juice or Worcester sauce but lettuce, and lemon juice and few slices of Salomon! What a joke and the quality is awfully small....
The service also been limited and there is not even full... Only very few table are sitting which not sure why they are limited the timing.
I don't mind to pay good money for good food, but absolutely not happy to pay any money for something that not worth for it.

We ordered tea and drinks from the cafe, it's not like we ordered nothing. We were at cafe de Lugano previously for dinner, lunch, etc. many times; no luxury hotel should be so short sighted as to be rude to customers for not ordering big ticket items during one specific visit. Read morePassing by the courtyard, my sister wanted to take a photo but the server approached and asked her NOT to take any photo unless order some food from Lugano. RIDICULOUS!! I've never heard of no photo policy in the upscale HOTELS I stayed. People LOVE to take photos at the beautiful courtyard and hey it's a free advertising when they post it on social media!
