So sorry to say that I’m pretty shameful to have lunch here because it’s the worst food experience ever in my whole life..,which is incredibly unbelievable in the best hotel in Taiwan.
The lobster seems to be dead for whole year and then has been put in the refrigerator for another year. Finally they just cook it without any good technique, which you can tell by the appearance of lobster from the image. The lobster tastes like meat powder … super horrible and other guests also came to discuss about this with us. You can get better lobster in any regular food stop on the street in Taiwan. The beef is ok but not worthy because it’s not cheap restaurant.
All of the drinks there taste like instant powder and chemical without real natural ingredients inside, so you can barely drink but water. Everything is super watery.
Buffet is very poor, which is not very abundant. The dessert is worse than the regular food stops. Even the fruits are not fresh or juicy…
I don’t know if the cook or staffs ever tried their food or how could they offer super horrible food in such a grand hotel.. almost typical symbol of Taiwan hotel?
I really regret spending my time and stomach, money here …. Don’t go till they...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Café Un Deux Trois each morning during our stay at the Mandarin Oriental, and it was truly a highlight of our trip.
The service and attention to detail were remarkable. By our second morning, the staff not only remembered us but also our preferred seating, coffee orders, and even my husband’s omelet preference—after just one visit! We were genuinely impressed by this level of personalized service.
The café offers a modern dining experience with a diverse selection of international cuisines. While there were plenty of excellent Western options, the authentic local flair added a unique touch that we thoroughly enjoyed. Every dish was beautifully presented, almost like a work of art, and the flavors did not disappoint.
We also appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of a gluten-free area, demonstrating their ability to cater to a variety of dietary needs. It’s clear that every guest is made to feel welcome and cared for.
Overall, we felt special, welcomed, and left satisfied with every bite. Café Un Deux Trois is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. We can’t...
Read moreThis place has some of the best service in Taiwan. I've never been to a restaurant in Taiwan where the waiter will change language from guest to guest, and they did! The waiter spoke mandarin to my mother and english to my brother and me. The staff is friendly and accommodating, going so far as to tell us that if our steaks weren't to our liking, we could send them back. The food here is hit or miss, I recommend ordering simple dishes rather than the ones that seem interesting. My favorite dish I tried was French onion soup, a classic that is hard to ruin. Items on the set menu is another story. The a la carte items are definitely better. If you wanna order steak, I recommend ordering it "3." Overall, I like this restaurant. Prices are good, service is excellent, and the food is good enough to warrant future visits. It's great for special guests because of the...
