Authentic quality Thai food! I've traveled around Thailand in a couple of different trips, I can say that this place is authentic. Thailand is a big country and the cuisine varies across different regions. I've been to Thai&Thai several times and always enjoyed the meal. The ingredients they use are high quality. The service used to be terrible, but today was surprisingly much better; the waiter even asked us if we have any food allergies. I'm allergic to peanuts, so the gesture is very appreciated. My favorite dishes are: Deep-Fried Egg Salad, Steamed Sea Fish with Spicy Lime Sauce, and Fruit-Shaped Mung Beans. The Grilled Tender Pork Loin also used to be on of my favorites, but I don't know what happened today, the pork seemed rather more like steamed than grilled. Read moreI got the pad Thai with Prawns and Red Curry with shrimp/prawns. To be fair, they are somewhat basic but they kind of are the basis of what mostly everyone considers Thai food. Not sure if it was an off day but I’ve actually tasted better Thai food at “normal” restaurants (if not even at home). Flavors were a bit lacking and did not meet expectations, especially for a Michelin star location. Perhaps I just didn’t try to right foods here which deem it a Michelin star restaurant.
I gotta give it to them though: The shrimp crackers were amazing (free). Sad that it was my favorite thing there lol.
For dessert, I just got the fruit platter and it was good. Fruits were pretty fresh tasting.
Appetizer was the traditional shrimp cakes. They were good. There was nothing special about the flavor besides the fact that I’m happy they actually used shrimp to make them.
