I found this little spot on a rainy evening, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The place is run by two young guys—really polite, friendly, and clearly proud of what they’re doing. You order by ticking off a simple menu sheet, which I appreciated. No drama, no QR codes, just food.

I had the dried beef noodles, and wow—so good. It’s hard to explain, but it tasted different from anything I’ve had in Taipei or elsewhere. Rich, balanced, and somehow just right for the weather. Maybe it was the rain, maybe it was the quiet vibe, but it hit the spot.

As a non-mandarin speaker, was nicely greeted in English, partner and I felt welcomed. Simple menu makes it easy to order. Food came quickly, I got the spicy and it did not disappoint, beef flavor was good - not gamey, broth had complexity and spice had hints of sichuan pepper, noodles with good chew, came with vegetables to cool and change it up as you eat. For 140/bowl, it is very affordable.

The air conditioned room was COLD, clean, and had a bathroom. The turnover was efficient when we were there, with 2 tables for 4 seats, and 6-7 counter seats. They could pack more in but they did not. No wait when we went for lunch on a weekday.
