201 Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Wanhua District

Very rude service. I have eaten here 6-8 times. The last time, at lunch on a Friday, the host immediately put up his arms in an "X" and said no. I was a little startled; the man has waited on me before, so I know he speaks some English. But as he walked toward me, he continued holding his arms in an "X" and saying "no." He would not say anything else or give any reason.

The place was busy but not full. Usually, if a restaurant is at capacity, it will offer for you to wait or put your name on a list.

Every time I've eaten here, I've spent between 450-650 NTD. Sometimes I leave a tip in the tip jar, even though it is not so customary in Taiwan. There is no reason to treat a customer this way.

On another occasion in September, I arrived with a friend fully one hour before closing, and was told they were closed, even though there were still customers inside. I let that slide, but after this second incident, I will not return.

This cafe is located in the Wanhua District, near the popular tourist spot, Ximending. It has plenty of seating, and the staff are very friendly. We ordered the Spices Salmon Seafood Pot, Iced Lemon Tea, Chocolate and Banana Danish Tart, and Tiramisu Latte.
