One of the recommended places when I was doing research on Yilan and this place came up. Decided to pay a visit and was quite shocked to see a long line from across the street on a weekday afternoon! People were literally queuing on the road next to the cars while waiting to get a cup of the drinks here. Were already quite late in the afternoon all the tea drinks were sold out and the avocado not in season and papayas not ripe enough, so only had the option of choosing the signature mung bean drink. Quite ridiculous a cup of their orange juice is 120TWD! Was a queue but it moved pretty quickly and we managed to get our drinks within 15 minutes. Pretty mysterious drink sealed in a non see through cup but when I took a first sip of the drink and I was like WOW the mung bean was so smooth! One would usually expect the mung bean drink to be rather coarse in texture and not very soothing to the throat but this was almost out of the world for me. Totally enjoyed this drink, only complaint was the cup wasn't big enough I wished I had another one and I didn't want to queue again. Really recommend this place for the drink you don't have to swallow it just glides down the throat. The sugar level is also optimized that you won't find that it's not sweet or overly sweetly. Quite rare to find such a close to perfect drink nowadays. And it's super rare to get to try it because it only opens 4...

Super long line for their blended icy drink? Totally worth it. Unfortunately many of their menu items were already sold out by mid afternoon so I could only comment on their signature mung bean milk shake. It's light but creamy with the perfect sweetness, freshly made with cooked mung beans, milk and crushed ice. Few ingredients yet addicting! A little bit of explanation is needed for their ordering system, so please read below.

  1. Grab an order form from the right side of the store and fill it out. Chinese only, no English.
  2. Wait for the number on the digital display right above the basket containing the blank ordering forms. Say if your form has #258, you will have to wait for #260 to show on the display before you can turn in your order. #260 means it is time for customers 251-260 (i.e. serving customers up until #260). Now go line up on the left side and turn in paper only.
  3. The staff will prepare the order so give them some time. The cashier will then call customers in numerical order to exchange payments with your drinks.

Minus one star for their complicated ordering system. If you are in a hurry, not worth...

IG: foodie_foxx Beimen Bean Milk Monarch is a popular milk shop that always draws big queues with their delicious shakes. Their Guava, Papayas, and Taro milkshakes are must-tries, and they run out quickly, so it's best to grab them while you can.

The prices are reasonable, with shakes ranging from 25-100$, depending on the ingredients. You can choose from basic to 100% fruit shakes, which are all flavorful and refreshing. However, the shop is most famous for its Bean Milk, which is creamy, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

The ambiance of the shop is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. They offer excellent customer service, and you can tell that they take pride in their work.

Overall, Beimen Bean Milk Monarch is a fantastic milk shop that lives up to its reputation. If you're a fan of shakes and want to try something new, this is the place to be. Don't miss out on their famous Bean Milk and other delicious shakes - they're worth the wait! Bon appetite...

This place is famous for their green (mung) bean smoothie (with milk). It was pretty rich and sweet. Its like a shake with light green bean flavor. My one year old loved it. Its like a decadent dessert so save some space for it at the end of your meal. Long lines (over an hour) on holidays and weekends. We were lucky to have just waited for 5 minutes on a Thursday afternoon.
