Came back to try their weekend lunch buffet ($600). This is a GREAT deal if you know what you are getting!
Has about 10+ items to choose from. A good selection of meat and non veg. From okra, chickpeas, cheese, lentils to egg curry, chicken curry, lamb curry, tandoori chicken. Fresh naan and garlic naan, with chutneys and dessert. Hot Indian chai (tea) is already included in the buffet.
That day, they also gave a free drink where you could choose from a wide selection of drinks such as mango Lassi which is itself a $120 value.
Naan bread can easily cost $60-$100, but you can get unlimited slices here! Any curry dish in town would go for ~$300 +/- $50, but you can eat as much as you want and could try many different flavors at once! What a deal!
Each dish has its distinct flavor but the dishes are quite heavy or oily which is common at buffets. I did end up being very thirsty afterwards, which means MSG or equivalents in some of the spices or sauces, which is almost universally found at buffets. Nonetheless, to offer an authentic Indian buffet at this calibre in Taiwan is in itself a two thumbs up!
Reservation is highly recommended as it was packed! Seems like people have discovered this place..
They have more items than many of the Indian buffets that I have been to. Makes me feel right at home.
For those who aren't sure, best to always use a NEW plate when you go for your 2nd or 3rd rounds.
This is the only legit buffet in taiwan that I have discovered so far. People here are so lucky to have such an authentic Indian food made by authentic Indian chefs!
A la carte was also very decent from my previous experience but the buffet was a...
Read moreHalal food in the heart of Taiwan ! I’m from Chicago originally and I was born and raised in India up until my early 20s and I’m almost 40 now and I have been to many different countries and tasted so much different cuisines and Yes I love Taiwan beef noodles and I eat local first as always my first rule to try local food and local restaurants where locals eat and with that being said!!
I absolutely miss home cooked meals when I’m away for business on those long trips where you can’t have home cooked meals and the Indian in me wants the Indian food at least once a week.
After I ate the food here first time at the restaurant and ordered twice from Uber eats and I am so happy with the food here.
Specially the Veg biryani and Grill platter is such an amazing taste. One of the chicken tikka item from the grill platter just melts in your mouth. Mutton biryani is good too but not as good as chicken biryani. But that’s because I’m from Hyderabad and it’s very hard to please a foodie from Hyderabad. Can’t believe how fresh their meat tastes and how good the flavors are in Taiwan!
If I can rate this place 10 stars I would do so!!!
Thank you...
Read moreWent to this place about two months ago with my friends for dinner and couldn’t bring myself to do the review for the longest time because I didn’t really like the experience.
Atmosphere+ location: the place has a nice ambiance and it is not that difficult to find so for that I’d give it a 6/10
Service: the service was okay, noticed they don’t have a lot of waiters but luckily the place didn’t have a lot of people so we didn’t have to wait for too long for our order to be taken so a 7/10
Food: we ordered a platter, samosas and I also had the breyani. The meat on the platter was just okay, some of it like the chicken was okay but not perfectly seasoned, the fish was not seasoned at all. The samosas were fine, a 7/10 will do. As for the breyani I was not impressed at all!! It was too salty and had some weird taste to it. I’ve been to other Indian places and the food was much better. So for food I’ll give the place a 3/10, sorry! The chef needs...
