This place would’ve been decent if it weren’t for the beef stew curry. The fried chicken nuggets and the pork curry were pretty good but I just couldn’t look past on how disappointing the beef stew curry was. It was #1 on the menu and I was told this beef stew dish was on limited supply and highly recommended by the waitress only to find out how chewy the beef was. Not a large restaurant, more family style, but comfortable, clean decor, serving Japanese style curry. Admittedly, haven't tried all the varieties in Japan. To me, though a bit spicy and good flavors, the curry was not "thick" enough in texture and flavors, which combined with the rice, became a bit soupy. The ingredients were fresh tasting, but vegetables were cold. The pork slices were pretty good. The rice also was short grains, didn't have the texture that I liked. When it comes to Japanese curry usually people would expect a much sweeter and milder flavor, this however is totally different; not only the flavor is delicious and beautifully seasoned with various spice. The side dish (Lettuces, curry flavored lotus root and eggplants and that awesome sunny side🍳) is def not letting that fried chicken curry outshining the whole meal as well.
