This is a local Taiwanese restaurant which is a hidden gem. The chicken is flavourful (we wondered where the source of their poultry is from - little fat and has those countryside tastes) and well presented. I recommend the big portion because the smaller amount (which we ordered came with too many bones - unless you are a bone person). The tofu on the hot iron plate is also very nice when served hot; mixed with their local sauce enhances the taste. Read moreI have to say, I don’t quite understand the appeal of this place. This was one of the worse taiwanese meals I have ever had - the chicken is okay but particularly tasty. The pork ribs with taro has such a weird taste - and the texture is mushy and very unappetizing.
The radish cake with satay sauce is pretty nice and the chicken in wine is okay tasty, but they both left a strong oily taste in uour mouth.
The restaurant was very loud, and the menu is very limited unless you go with the set menu.

Read moreWe walked into this place completely by accident a few months ago, but we absolutely loved it. It was quite full but they still had space for us.
They have several set menus with a few choice options for different group sizes. We ordered a menu for two, which easily could have fed three people. The dishes were all very good, the pork knuckles being my favourite.
The menu is not in English, so I would suggest running it through Google lens before going. We translated it with a faint public WiFi.
