Metro Taipei ✕ LOUISA COFFEE — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

The attitude of the employees here are terrible. They are neglectful of customers and very rude. I've had several experiences where it takes a long time to order because they're sitting down behind the counters on their phones. I continued to come back because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and thought it might just be some who are rude. However, I'm officially done now. They change the time they serve food every day depending on if they're understaffed and are always out of ingredients. They also do not mix or shake the drinks well so the syrup is sitting on the bottom and hard to stir by the time you pick it up. They're also rude about accommodating when they run out of ingredients. For example, I ordered a pesto mushroom sandwich and was told there were no mushrooms. I asked if they're able to substitute the mushrooms for tomatoes or something else instead. The employee rudely told me no and when I asked why not (since another Louisa store did this for me once), she began playing with her nails and looked around as if she were bored and snapped at me again. I was ok with being told no, but her attitude and tone was so unnecessarily rude???? I understand working a service job isn't easy but I'm not asking to be treated like the queen, I'm just asking to be treated like a human. Louisa has good c/p value and most of them have comfortable seating with large tables for laptop work. This one has two such large tables, one of them being in a slightly separated wing of the building with large windows and trees outside. This is where I usually camp. This is one of my favourite places for long remote-work sessions due to the spacious environment outside, being quiet (far away from traffic roads) with the Jazz plaza and underground metro mall next doors. I was here today and ordered extra hot reserve latte, however received a coffee barely warm enough to drink. Took it back & they made it worse by reheating the coffee.

Spoke to a girl with glasses (I believe she was the manager on site) provided my feedback and she was very helpful, took care of me, listened and explained everything to me so that this won’t happened again, even remake the coffee (which is standard in Aus).

Was going to leave a negative comment but she turned it around and now I am giving a positive five star.
