Food was ok but service was very disappointing. When we arrived asked server to seat us this was 8:10 and they keep on saying last order is at 8:30pm and we need to finish by 9pm despite restaurant closing time is 9:30pm. Asked multiple times to seat us and they repeat the same thing over and over giving us the feeling they don’t want to serve us. After several tries we finally got seated. In respond to the restaurants reply on disrespecting or using foul words expressed directly at the waiter I’m asking the restaurant not to mislead customers based on their reply to my review earlier as no foul words was expressed towards the waiter. It was a conversation between me and my husband. Next thing we asked if we can seat at a more spacious seat since the corner we were at was extremely hot and they said they don’t serve on the other side of the restaurant when we do see other people seated and enjoying their food. The request was placed not when we were getting seated but when we started eating and we see vacant seating. They couldn’t even explain why they couldn’t seat us other than we can’t move there, despite there were wide open seating on the other side of the restaurant. Again no operational logic was explained and the restaurant wasn’t full house either. I’m reposting this so that the restaurant isn’t misleading customers with their reply earlier. As a customer would like to share what had exactly and hoping the restaurant can improve their service since we have been to many other Mia Cucina and we have never had such an unpleasant experience. All the other Mia Cucina we really enjoyed the service and...

makes you forget you are having vegetarian

Mia Cucina means my kitchen in Italian but a look at their menu would suggest an array of Italian-American selections. The menu is essentially all the vegetarian all-star items you’d see in a omnivore restaurant curated into one menu. Even diehard carnivores should be able to find something they enjoy.

This is not for the most healthy purists but certainly beats those vegetarian buffet joints with unhealthy fake meat to give faux quench with meat thirsts.

All items you actually get is bigger than what you see in the picture. For those items offered small (serves comfortably 2), big serves 3-4.

Strawberry pecan salad - featuring strawberries, apples, mango, dried cranberries, cherry tomatoes, caramelized pecans and parmesan topped with an orange vinaigrette dressing. The salad is a fruitful bliss and opens up our appetite.

Roasted bell pepper with two eggs pasta - cooked in parsley and garlic and balsamic vinegar really showcases how simple fresh ingredients cooked with diverse flavors and textures to keep us interested until the last bite. Pasta is on the firm side by default and can be requested for a softer texture.

Garlic bread - even though placed under “starters section” this bread serves 4 comfortably. The outer layer had the perfect crunch followed by the warm spongy garlic butter center. Suggest to order a soup to go with this bread.

Venue sits on second floor with terrace-like view to the bustling shopping mall downstairs. Noise level...

Food was ok, the waitress service at the dining table was ok. Our experience however was negatively affected by the staff at the register that handled our reservation at the beginning and payment after we were done. We arrived at 350pm at asked for a table of 3, the staff at the registration took my phone number and told me they will call me when table is available, and there were 2 groups ahead of us she said (though at that time there were many vacant tables). So we strolled around the area while waiting, and I was holding my phone and checking every few minutes to check if they have called. None. At 4.34pm, I saw a sms indicating they have cancelled my reservation. we immediately walked back to the restaurant and asked, the staff saw us and said they called but no one answered so they canceled. I was showing them there wasn’t any call but she wasn’t very friendly but eventually gave us a table. The waitress service was friendly. Then after we were done we had a really bad experience at the cashier machine area. When we walked up to the cashier, he was talking to another customer so we just stood there to wait. When he was done he instructed us to go stand and line up and the back (while there was no one else there but just us waiting to pay). He was very rude and the whole experience...

This was my third and probably last time here. We ordered three dishes: a buddha bowl, pasta and some flatbread. Buddha Bowl: It was very dry and tasteless. There were no strong flavours and it was overall very bland. Overall a very lame and boring Buddha bowl and would not recommend it. Mushroom Pasta with Truffle Oil: The pasta was better but very greasy and salty. The onions were fried for too long, they had a burnt taste. Spinach, Arugula, and Blue Cheese Flatbread: The flatbread was really nice but nowhere near being worth 495NT. Service: The service was very poor. We were there for about two hours and the servers didn’t come once to refill our water. Not very attentive. Eventually, I had to ask for some water since the food overall was just too dry. The tables are also way too small, it felt very crammed. They also don’t have an updated menu on their website, here on Google Maps or Facebook. We ended up paying about 1,500 NT incl. service for two. Not worth it and won’t be visiting again.

Such a disappointment! I really enjoyed 古典美人 and Herbivore by the same restaurant group but this one was a doozy. Came in expecting a lovely brunch on a weekend but turns out they only serve breakfast platters on weekdays?! Our table all got paninis since my friend recommended it. I wanted the avocado mushroom but was informed it was impossible to make vegan, so I got the sesame tofu which was their only vegan option. It was saddest sandwich I have ever had: tasteless tofu, crummy carrot slices, and soporific sweet potato with sesame sauce. No greens, no flavor, nothing substantial. I ended up asking for balsamic vinegar to add a little flavor, which was nice, but honestly it was still a very dry and drab concoction. I will definitely try a pasta or salad next time. They are very NOT vegan friendly, despite being a vegetarian place, since so many dishes contain cheese or egg, which apparently cannot be substituted. A far cry from their other establishments.
