Deep Fried Chicken Rice with Sichuan Pepper Sauce ($380): The chicken itself had succulent taste and fairly crispy coating. Dipping the chicken into the Sichuan pepper sauce and eating with the rice was the most satisfying part of the meal. In my opinion, this was the best Taiwanese deep fried chicken I’d ever had.
Red Oolong Caramel Crepe Cake ($220): Last time I had Lishan Oolong one which was amazing. This flavour also tasted delightful and special in another way. I would never be fed up with their crepes and milk tea. Blending the Taiwanese tea with the French crepes is such an innovative and unique idea of YONSHIN.
Classic YONSHIN Style Milk Tea (Cold: $180, Hot: $250): The milk tea got a distinctive taste from all the other ones. No wonder they are famous for this because type of tea and the milk used are totally special and superior. In addition, the miso soup tasted great and contained some vegetables.
In conclusion, this was my second time dining in YONSHIN (first time in Breeze Xinyi Branch) but I did make a reservation this time. The restaurant was very busy around 6 p.m. on Sunday but the service speed had always been fast. The decor was also very exquisite and high-classed. Despite the fact that all the dishes and drinks are expensive, it’s still worth trying out their high-quality Taiwanese foods. Besides, the nearest MRT (Zhongshan) exit for here is exit 4. Overall, it’s definitely a 10 out of 10!
FYI, the maximum time of dining is 90 minutes and the 10% service charge is included...
Read moreWe saw the good review online and decided to check it out. The decoration is modern and welcoming, so we had good first impression. After the order was placed , food came fast, which is nice. The food presentation is okay but it does not look like it worths $400 a meal. We comforted ourselves thinking maybe the taste is extremely fantastic. However, we were wrong…. the seasoning is completely awful. The pork bowl I got is sooooo salty. My mom has same feedback to her shrimp noodles. The portion is also small considering the price. It was not a problem to us since we all didn’t finish our meal due to saltiness.
If you are looking for pretty restaurant to have photo taken, you can consider this one. If you are looking to have good taiwanese food experience, any local bento restaurant serves better food than this one and cost you only 1/3 of price you pay here.
Personally won’t come back again.

The place is obviously quite popular among tour as well as locals. I really liked the tea atmosphere and the wide variety of Taiwanese tea.
Main course: pricy, cause this food you can buy in a less fancy place much cheaper. Side dishes: we tried bamboo shots - amazing! However, salad with fried chicken was super bad. Desert: waitress recommended the Hong Oolong cake and it was one of the best cakes I have tried in Taiwan, you should definitely try it. Pineapple cake was just ok.
Average bill per person: 600 TWD
Design and service: I liked the tea atmosphere there. It’s modern fashionable style rather than traditional tea house (which I love too). Service was good too.
Conclusion: that restaurant is worth of visiting. Taiwanese people must really love it, western people should be quite satisfied too.
Grade: 8 out of 10, because main course is too expensive for...
