The beef noodle soup and dumplings have been consistently very good over the years I visited this shop, before the renovation (many years ago) and after the renovation. In the years before the shop was renovated I would see dumplings being wrapped at the corner table. All of the food here tastes great.
Beef noodle soup: 5/5 The broth is rich in consistency and taste with a balanced amount of spices, the right amount of Schezuan pepper corn that's just right to the taste. The beef cuts, generous in amount and size, were just the perfect level of tenderness. Likewise the tendons were cooked just to the right level for perfect texture. The beef and tendons soaked up the soup spices and were very flavorful. The beef noodles have been consistently good.
Dumplings: 5/5 The dumplings here are very tasty and have a perfect texture. The filling amount is just right and the wrapper has the perfect texture that stays intact. An order of dumplings is quite filling for 1 person.
Service: 5/5 Service is fast and efficient.
Atmosphere: 5/5 After this shop underwent renovation quite some years ago, the shop has upgraded furniture, front glass and entry doors and is...
Read moreWent there on a busy day. Got a table on the second floor. Wanted to get condiments at the self service stall but they were out of small plates. Asked the staff for some and she told us they are out of them on the second floor and we need to go get them at the first floor. So no condiments for us it is... All staff on the second floor seems overwhelmed on what they need to do as their supervisor was all busy bossing them around on what they need to do. Not a good site for your brand/restaurant image. Noodles arrived, was mediocre and not much flavor. Quickly finished and went downstairs to pay and asked in the local language can we pay by credit card. Cashier responded in English cash only... If we asked in English can we pay by credit card and the staff responded in English cash only we are fine and paying cash is not a problem but not even going to comment, just paid cash and won't even bother...
Read moreI recently visited Lianpin Beef Noodle and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst beef noodle experiences I've had. I was genuinely disappointed with the overall quality of the food.
The beef dumplings were particularly underwhelming. The dumpling skins were thick, which made them feel heavy and doughy. Additionally, the filling lacked flavor, leaving them tasting bland and unappetizing. It was a letdown considering that the dumplings are usually a highlight of a good beef noodle dish.
The beef noodle soup itself was equally disappointing. The broth lacked depth and richness, resulting in a rather flat and tasteless experience. The noodles were cooked adequately, but they failed to absorb any of the flavors from the broth, leaving them devoid of any distinctive taste. It felt like a missed opportunity to create a satisfying and flavorful bowl of beef...
