Chang Thai Restaurant @ House of Wine — Restaurant in Arusha

I love Thai food but my experience with Thai haven’t been the best in Tanzania the last year. I was a bit sceptical trying out Thai in Arusha but I’m so glad I did. I ended up eating at this place at four different time and trying out four different dishes. And I enjoyed all of them so much.

But it was not only good food that made me come back it was also that I got my food within 15 min every time. A small miracle in Tanzania. I was attending conferences in Arusha and was having short of time for food a lot of the times. Chang Thai became my place to go to for good and fast food that doesn’t rip me of. Because the price is also on the lower end for being international food in Arusha with dishes between 10-20 000 TSH.

With the chef they recruited to the restaurant I would not be surprise if I come back in one-two years to find the price being 20-30 000 TSH and packed with people.

Ps. The last time I arrived late in the evening. They where closing and locking the door to the restaurant but opened up the restaurant just for me. Again, Thank you, it meant...

This was my first time in Africa, and I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Thai food here at this restaurant. My friends in Arusha always mentioned how much they love the Thai food here.

There were 5 of us dining for lunch, and we tried a variety of entrées:

Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely Thai food. One of the best restaurants in Arusha in my humble opinion. I went there noonish to ask for a reservation for an airline crew of 12 people same evening. They were super friendly and accommodated us easily although the place is not large.

We loved the wonderful Thai food and the fast and friendly service. I had the fried prawns in a glass noodle coating as a starter and chicken with cashew nuts as main course and loved it. A five star...
