The City Sandwich — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

When it comes to Swahili fast food joints you can find in the city center, this happens to be one of my absolute faves! The ambience isn't so great but I love the taste of the food! Here you can find all the local popular's e.g. mishkaki (skewered beef), mince or potato cutlets(Katlesi), baghia, maandazi (African doughnuts in triangle or square shape without sugar icing), vitumbua (rice cakes), chapati (Asian and African flat bread), Sambusa (samosas), ginger or masala tea, ndizi (cooked banana and meat dish), mtori (a soup made with savoury banana (in my opinion one of the best ways to start your day) and so much more.
