My dining experience at the Oriental Restaurant at the Hyatt was nothing short of spectacular. The tender grilled octopus I ordered was a true culinary masterpiece. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures, with the octopus perfectly cooked to tender perfection and infused with a delightful smoky aroma from the grill. Paired with a tangy citrus dressing and delicate herbs, it was a dish that left a lasting impression.
Moreover, the rooftop view from the Oriental Restaurant added an extra layer of magic to the evening. As I savored my meal, I was treated to breathtaking vistas of the city skyline and twinkling lights below. The ambiance was unparalleled, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere that elevated the dining experience to new heights.
Overall, the Oriental Restaurant at the Hyatt exceeded all expectations. From the exquisite grilled octopus to the mesmerizing rooftop view, every aspect of the meal was perfection. It's a dining destination not to be missed for anyone seeking a memorable...
Read moreA big disappointment… where should I even start. We ordered several food from the menu. One Veg main dish which was severed with only vegetables. No rice or nothing was offered, we had to ask for it. But the biggest surprise was my spicy noodle dish (with shrimps). See the picture below. I also asked the waitress about all the missing shrimps and he told me to order a new whole dish from the menu if I wanted more shrimps?!? I don’t know what kind of service this is? The food was not spicy, the shrimps was cold. I couldn’t eat it. This is the worst restaurant I’ve been at during my stay here. Oh they also pour water in you glass and charges you later 4.500 shillings without warning you. Listen to me, DON’T GO HERE!!!!! you will truly regret it. I can highly recommend the PALM next door or the restaurant downstairs called Flame Tree Lounge. We went there afterwards and had the best food, atmosphere...
Read moreI've had a number of memories associated with this place from years ago. But it is no longer the same. The ambience suits a special occasion, however the quality and pricing of food is not near worth it. After ordering a big bottle of water that cost 10k, you'd expect there to be something magical about the place. In reality the food costs as much as it would in Europe, and the portion size is just okay. The cocktails I thought were really unique and may of been the best part about the place. What a unique selection. All in all, is it a place I would visit again? Most definitely not. The amount you''ll pay for a dinner for two Is equivalent to possibly two dinners elsewhere in Dar es Salaam that are much more worth you...
