Ciao Terrazza — Restaurant in Bang Rak Subdistrict

This is most memorable dinner at riverside in mandarin oriental Bangkok. There many Michelin star restaurants in town but I chose to come here because simply I’m a fan. Haha.. I love them because they take care of every details. Ciao has a fascinating river view if u can come at right time, u will see the golden sunset with the water reflection is simply beautiful. The boat riding and water sound, wind breeze and bird sings, u won’t get this else where. The restaurant will be closed for few months during raining season and river side seating needs to book in advanced. I never disappointed with MO food quality. The wood-fire pumpkin soup are superb yum, the fragrance brings more appetite. Lobster pasta is tasty, I like the noodle texture with the right amount of sauce and with the fresh lobster are just perfect. Look at the pizza, it makes u want to have a bite. Dessert is where it scores into a woman’s heart and they play well. They serve a unique way to eat tiramisu, one bite of tiramisu and one bite of chocolate cream sauce, it’s a taste of bitter sweet. They also serve a complementary ice cream chocolate cake for my birthday, its a nutty flavour outside layer with the chocolate ice cream filling, the combination taste wonderful. The Ciao Terrazza simply doesn’t live up to MO standards. It wasn’t great last year but it’s even more disappointing now. I think they serve t the food from the Riverside buffet. Nothing was freshly prepared- the focaccia was fresh. Rack of lamb, waygu filet, potatoes, etc etc were pre plated foods. Service was horrendous. Very poorly trained when you did actually get attention, so totally overpriced for such a poor attempt at fine establishment. The ONLY thing enjoyable was the venue and view.
