This was one of my favourite restaurant last time i was in Chiangmai a coupe years ago, unfortunately I was quite disappointed this time, they’ve expanded the restaurant since then and seems like now most of the customers are tourists. On to food- the steak fried rice had overcooked steak and was quite chewy, the rice was mostly coated with a savoury beef broth/sauce this was nothing like the same dish I had last time which had very tender medium rare beef and was coated with a nice beed oil on top. The whole dish came out lukewarm and had no hint of smoke so I also questioned if it was made fresh. I had asked the staff and they said if I would have to request ahead if i wanted medium rare beef. They also tried to explain to me in Chinese while i spoke English to them the whole time.
