Churn at Thaphae is a wonderful place with a great chill atmosphere and amazing staff right across the street from Tha Phae Gate. We are Canadians who always make it a point to come here when we’re in Chiang Mai whether it be for a delicious burger, a plate of fries for a snack or just a few nice cold drinks to relax. After eating Asian food for months, we wanted some western food to satisfy our tastes, and wow we got it. The Chiang Mai Burger is out of this world, so so tasty and for 199 Baht you get a double cheese pork burger with delicious French fries. Everything was so tasty, and even the chips are proper homemade, not like some of the rubbish chips you can get. All in all, would absolutely recommend here. I wouldn’t say it’s the best burger I ever had but it was pretty damn good! I also think I just did not like the seasoning/sauce as much. I ordered the Chiang Mai burger iirc, which was seasoned with the spices common of a Thai dish I couldn’t remember. Not that it was not delicious, just that I wanted a western burger after having eaten Thai for weeks.
