Good Day — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

This spot—Good Day—absolutely deserves a spot on your must-try list—trust me! The food is straight-up amazing, the prices are super affordable (like, wallet-friendly heaven), and the staff are the sweetest folks you’ll meet. I’ve been here a couple of times already—it’s just a quick few steps from our accommodation, which makes it dangerously easy to pop in for more. On this visit, we dove into the classic pad Thai with chicken (tender noodles tangled with juicy bites, peanuts, and that perfect tangy kick) and the stir-fried garlic chili crispy pork (oh man, the pork was shatteringly crisp outside and melt-in-your-mouth inside, tossed with fiery chilies, fragrant garlic, and just the right amount of heat to wake up your taste buds). To wash it all down, we grabbed a coconut smoothie with milk—creamy, tropical bliss blended with fresh coconut chunks and a hint of sweetness that made me feel like I was floating in another galaxy. They could call themselves BadDay. We waited for over 35 minutes and still no food. People arriving after us had time to finish their lunch. We decided to leave, they didn’t even try to excuse themselves… horrible experience. The staff kept staring at us, not a smile, not polite… they laughed when we told them that we are leaving, as if they didn’t planed on giving us food anyway.. they probably hadn’t even started cooking our meals Maybe racism ? One of us has a dark skin…
