Very nice and helpful owner and staff. At the time of checkin we met owner and he was very welcoming.
We book suite room. Room was spacious and comes with balcony. There are few basic things which can be added, like table to keep luggage. We had to keep luggage on the floor.
There was no lift, staff is helpful to drop luggage to your room.
Other than shower gel is of good quality, free water refill station, free fruits and coffee at reception 24x7.
One request to owner, please change your scooter vendor.
I have never seen such greedy lady. When she gave us scooty there were 2 bar petrol, I believe someone else left little extra petrol ( more than one bar), while giving scooter she told you have to return minimum 2 bar. In the contract she mentioned if you return more no refund. I have seen only 2 type of rental, fill your petrol and use means you can return one bar also Other is we give your full and you return back full. Also, when I requested for one night extra ( 6pm was my ending time and I requested for next day morning), and offered half day extra fare, she told that she would charge full day only. Other places people will happily agree for half day fare.
Also, scooter was very very old and in very bad condition. We are good driver so we managed. And rent taken was on higher side, I have rented much better scooter in chiang rai for 200-250 baht but she charged 300 baht for such...
Read moreWe stayed here for a week and a half in the Suite Room. Room is nice and spacious with a balcony. Toilet comes with a bathtub, open closet of sorts, toilet, wide sink area, and the shower. Toiletries provided - shower cap, cotton buds, shampoo, body wash, bubble bath soap, hairdryer. Room has the standard hotel amenities. Balcony has a sliding door and french doors - the latter is extremely useful for a good night's sleep when the streets are busy.
Hotel staff are extremely helpful and kind. They help bring your laundry to a service if you want (80thb per kg) or you can go to the self service laundromat nearby. They make up the room even if you don't ask and they do an amazing job at it. The hotel does not have a lift (The highest floor is 4th) but they offer to bring your bags up for you if you need the help. Hotel also accepts card for those who are low on cash.
There are plenty of local food places nearby and a 7-11 for convenience. The hotel is right smack in the middle of the Saturday Walking Street which is great. Chiang Mai Gate Market is also nearby, within walking distance. Lots of places are only 10-20mins away by bike/car, including the airport. Overall our stay was great and we would definitely be back. Highly...
Read moreAfter two months in wonderful Chiang Mai, we booked the top floor room for one night before heading to Chiang Rai. The best decision we made! We couldn't have been made more welcome, and the lovely host explained the area, and was super friendly. The room was spectacular..better even than the photo's! As it was a Saturday, the walking street market was setting up from 4pm outside the hotel. We have been to it many times over the years, but it was wonderful to watch it from the comfort of the balcony! There is no problem with noise as it has an internal and external door to the seating area outside. The bed was so comfortable, and with the best pillows, we slept really well. We mentioned I was vegetarian, and in the morning, the lovely lady cooked a tasty omelette with salad, and there was fruit and yummy muffins as well. When we were leaving, the lady stopped a taxi tuk tuk to take us to the bus station and waved us off. For the price we paid we were treated like royalty and left feeling fantastic! I would definitely recommend Casa Vespa to anyone wanting the best service, the friendliest staff and in a...
