5 years of traveling across the world and staying at hundreds of hostels, I can confidently say that @home is top 3 and it is all because of the staff. Ms. Ya is the kindest most caring host I have met. She takes the time to learn everyone’s name who stays there. Whenever you ask her a question, she goes above and beyond to make sure you have an answer. If she doesn’t know, she will google it or make a few phone calls. The woman who does the cleaning is a sweetheart who is always smiling even though she works so hard all day to make sure the hostel is spotless. This is the cleanest hostel! I stayed in the 4 bed dorm and the guys there were really messy and Ms Ya asked everyday if we wanted the room cleaned. The beds are big and comfortable (I’m 181cm), with a bed light + charging outlet, two towels, privacy curtain, and aircon whenever you want it. Free (cold!!) drinking water as well as instant coffee and tea with a cafe near reception for an espresso. There’s an area to the side of the hostel where you can hang wet clothes. Saturday Night Market is right in front of the hostel. I literally can not think of a single thing to fault this hostel for, I rarely give 10 stars. But I have to say once again, that the staff is what makes this hostel truly incredible. I hope the owner is aware of how lucky they are to have Ms Ya and the rest. I can’t wait to return to Chiang Mai and...
Read moreThis place has incredible reviews on Booking.com: “Clean rooms, nice staff, great location, close to night market”|All very nice and resulsts in 8.8 stars. We booked this as we trusted the 216 reviews on booking.com, but when we arrived we couldn’t bare to stay the 5 nights we had booked in good faith. We arrived late (11pm) with a taxi the hotel owner had reccomended. Price was 150 baht, which turned out to be extremely overpriced. We only drove for 5 mins.. |Anyway, we arrived at the hotel, and was shocked about the rooms, not alike the pictures in any manner. Room was clean but had a glass door, and you could hear everyone from the other rooms. Furthermore we had a blanket which seemed washed to many times. There was one white light in the room, which gave the room an uncomfortable vibe. The bathroom was a shared bathroom, old and not very nice. One of which you want to brush your teeth for 5 seconds and leave.|After the 1st night, “sleeping” in a bed hard as a rock, we decided to check out early. The owner agreed, that we only payed for the single night if we gave a night’s price in tips (around 500 baht), so we payed for two nights but had to leave right away. ||Good stuff:|Well working AC|Clean floor in the...

They went out of their way to make me feel at home, offering helpful advice on local attractions and gave us a place to store our bags and take a shower before check in time .
The exceptional service extended beyond just the warm welcome. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the common areas were cozy and inviting. The staff was always available to assist with any questions or requests, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay.
