During the pandemic, when the place was far from busy, it felt very welcoming and friendly to anyone. Ever since it ended - not so much, with double pricing for Thais and foreigners. Shame, because I remembered it as one of Chiang Mai's hidden gems, with live music and fantastic vibe from local students. Last time there I didn't feel welcome. When I handed over the usual pay for what I recall was two buckets of Leos, I've heard that this isn't the price I had on my menu - which I actually didn't get because I ordered straight away and said I didn't need one. There was a bit of confusion among the staff, I got away with paying the usual price (the foreigner price is one you would expect at a Bangkok restaurant rather than a Chiang Mai outdoor bbq & beer place), but it was super awkward - and judging by other comments, it's the new normal now In the garden.

The waitress struggled a bit with English, but we did manage to get the order for beers across. Service was quick, and she is always smiling. For simple orders like ours, gestures make it easy.
There were not many tourists here, and the locals experience is what I was after, and I got it here! Beautiful outside seating area between the plants and trees. Just be aware of mosquitos. Some people had mosquito lamps under the tables for their feet, I am not sure if it's something they can provide as well.
I did not rate the food because we...
