I called to make a reservation 1 hour before and they were happy to take us. When we arrived to the hotel we were greeted by Guy who opened the car door for us and walked us to the elevator to guide us to the Sky bar. When we got there, the most beautiful server, Za, greeted us and instantly knew my name. Already her hospitality was beyond 10 stars. She reserved the most perfect table for us, and my husband was starving and told her he was very hungry. She quickly got him a snack while he waited for his appetizer. That was so greatly appreciated by both of us. She took our drink and food order and quickly came with the wine I ordered. There was a small hair in my wine (likely from the shining cloth) and she was happy to refill my glass fully (it was almost finished.) Za also made us complimentary cocktails, which were beautiful and tasted beyond amazing. So good I couldn’t even taste the alcohol. The beef shank my husband ate was suburb. It was perfectly cooked and cut. I cannot express enough how perfect Za’s service is. She is so kind, caring, and takes hospitality to the next level. I highly recommend coming here, as it’s the nicest sky bar in Chiang Mai, and please ask for Za. She is the best server and deserves the recognition. Make a reservation before!! BEST SKY BAR IN...
Read moreThe bar is beautiful with nice sunset views of Doi Suthep. The service was also good with friendly and attentive staff. The cocktails were ok, but not great and for the expensive price they charge they should be better.
In general everything here is very overpriced. A small bottle of standard beer, which will cost around 80-90 baht at a normal fancy bar costs 190 baht here. But worst of all a small bottle of Chang water costs 150 baht. When we got the bill and saw they charged 300 baht for two small waters, we thought they accidentally charged us for Chang beer instead of Chang water so we asked the waiter, but no, it was indeed for the water.
I know some places charge a lot for fancy water, but this was not San Pellegrino, Voss or some other fancy water, this is a small 350ml bottle of local Chang water and they charge 150 baht. I have been to many fancy restaurants and bars in Thailand including many 5 star hotel bars like this one, but I have never been so overcharged for water before. I know 150 baht is not that important when you are paying over 400 baht per cocktail, but the principle of overcharging so much for water is...

The cocktails? Impeccable. Balanced, creative, and presented with real flair — I had one of the best Negronis of my life here. Food was five-star standard, with every bite showing clear attention to detail and local influence.
But the real standout? The service. Staff were polished, warm, and genuinely attentive without ever being intrusive. You’re made to feel like a VIP without the attitude.
Atmosphere is calm, elevated, and classy. Perfect music, perfect lighting, perfect energy. It’s rare to find a venue this beautiful that also gets every single detail right.
I’ve been to a lot of InterContinentals — this one, and this bar,...
