We came for dinner and ordered lots of food - mushroom satay and moneybags for starters. Enjoyed the moneybags but the satay mushroom wasn’t to my taste but my daughter enjoyed them. Mains we ordered pad see eiw with pork, pangang curry and stir fry basil with crispy pork - all of which were delicious, and sticky rice. We also had deep fried banana and ice cream for dessert. Staff told us it was a lot of food as we ordered, which we appreciated. The food was wonderful and we had leftovers which we took home. This was a huge 3 course meal with drinks and came to around 890 baht (roughly £20). At dinner they also played lots of old 2000’s tunes which we enjoyed but the music wasn’t overpowering We came twice for breakfast and ended up getting set breakfast as it’s very tasty and a good deal - English breakfast (3 different options) with orange juice AND tea or coffee for 150 baht. With water comes to about £3.50 per person! One lunchtime my daughter ordered the burrito with extra avocado which she thought would come inside the burrito. Instead it was part of a big onion tomato salad on the side. The burrito was big, filled to the brim and very tasty with a hot dipping sauce on the side. All The food is very tasty with good portions. They do all day breakfasts, burgers, western food, Thai and specials. All sorts of drinks from fresh juices and smoothies to alcohol and cocktails. Staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly, speaking good English. Would highly recommend to any vegans visiting Chiang Mai and wish we were here longer to try more...
Read moreWandering around Chiang Mai, I stumbled into a little spot with a name that basically screamed at me—Vegan Heaven. And let me tell you, it lives up to the name. This place is a colorful, chill little oasis serving a crazy variety of Thai and Western vegan dishes. Like, you could spend a whole week here and still not run out of options.
First up, I ordered the classic Pad Thai—sweet, tangy, with a nice crunch from the peanuts. One bite and I was hooked. Then came the Pineapple Fried Rice, which was like a rainbow on a plate. Packed with cashews, raisins, veggies, and of course juicy pineapple chunks—it was a flavor explosion.
Curious about the fusion options, I tried the Tofu Baguette Stir-Fry Sandwich. This one’s a wild mix of French crunch and Asian spice. Crispy baguette, spicy tofu, and a sauce that tasted like it came straight from a Vietnamese street stall. So good!
The surprise winner though? Their English Breakfast—potatoes, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and the coolest part: a vegan egg that actually nailed the texture. I legit did a double take.
And dessert? I went for the Brownie with Coconut Ice Cream. OMG. That creamy, light coconut scoop with a gooey brownie... chef’s kiss. No dairy, no problem.
If you're vegan, veg-curious, or just want something fresh after too much sticky rice, this place is gold. No regrets. Come hungry, leave happy, and maybe even a little in love...
Read moreThis is the only place I visited twice during my trip (I tried to always try a different place). My first time I ordered the breakfast set C with hot tea. It was delicious. I loved that this was a completely vegan restaurant, it allowed me the opportunity to try whatever I wanted. The staff was always nice and the restaurant was clean. Their hot tea was rather basic, and the one juice was odd to me- but perhaps that's just how orange juice is in Thailand? My second time around I got Pad Thai with Thai Tea. I didn't like either. It was my first time ever having Pad Thai, so I'm not going to blame the restaurant for my dislike of the dish. I think just the concept of peanut sauce and noodles isn't my thing. It was sticky, not saucy, so it was very hard to swallow after constantly chewing. The Thai Tea that I ordered at this location was my least favorite, as it was almost completely unsweetened (if not actually unsweetened). Not realizing that was how it would come, once I received it and tasted it I decided to suffer through without asking to add sugar (adding sweetener to a cold beverage is a lost cause anyway). I'm sure it would have been much better with just a tiny bit of sugar or honey. The prices are fair and the overall food...
