OHU bakery 오후 — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

To be honest, I'm a little confused why this bakery is so hyped. I saw a Cordon Bleu cookbook in the window and got excited, since I also studied cuisine & pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and London. I arrived at 11.30am, had to stand in line and all the pastries in the fridge were already sold out. Just by the look of it, everything looks very average. I ordered the kouign-amman, and it appeared very flat (it usually has a different shape)... as mentioned by someone else in the review, it was also extremely dry. It tasted like a compressed sweet croissant (for 65 baht) that is one day old. I ate it at OHU, and overheard how the other clients next to me also mentioned that their pastries were very average. Cannot recommend, there are many other (e.g. Japanese) pastry shops and bakeries in Chiang Mai that are technically so...

Don’t walk but RUN to this bakery! The pastries are just incredible here! It’s a Korean bakery and all the pastries are prepared by a five star Korean pastry chef. We bought just two pastries at first but went back and had too buy two more because it was soo delicious and wanted to try more! Every bite just melts in your mouth! The espresso was really good too! Unfortunately they’re only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Customer service was great too. A bit expensive for Thailand but compared to the United States you can’t beat the prices. Indulge in the delectable world of Korean-style bread and pastries at OHU! Make sure to arrive early, as their popular baked goods tend to sell out quickly. I recommend trying the Onion Bagel with Cream Cheese – a delightful treat that won't disappoint. Additionally, the Corn Pie comes highly recommended; it strikes a perfect balance, not overly sweet. Conveniently, they accept cards, no minimum amount – Nail it!!!
