Old City Smokehouse — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Walked by here last year around 6:00 am, they were smoking the meat at that time. Unfortunately I was leaving back home unable to try their ribs. First night visiting back to Chiang Mai, first place I visited after waiting a year. I was not disappointed meat fell off the bones, tasted just as I imagined 😊 Two sides of this restaurant, we ate on the side where all the motorcycles were inside. From the outside this side looks like a rough crowd. I was wrong just some biker crowd enjoying their beers. Would I recommend this place yes, yes, yes, for the price excellent food. Only downside was the Caesar salad was off a bit but then again I went there for the ribs. Hopefully it won’t take me another year to visit, but if does this is the first place I will hit...

There's nothing left on the plate in the picture because it was absolutely off the chain. Some of the best smoked brisket I've eaten anywhere in the world from Texas to who knows where. I walked past this place in the morning and asked what time the meat was ready. Real nice guy showed me his cuts in the smoker and told me that It'd be ready for dinner. We turned up at six to a warm welcome had an ice cold beer and a delicious gin and tonic before the main course. Had a great feed here, 2 opted for Brisket 1 for chicken and 1 Chilli. All the food was excellent, beers were cold and getting to watch Moto GP on the big screen was a bonus. The Brisket was tender and flavourful with excellent side of smoked beans, and the dipping sauce a nice accompaniment. A nice relaxed atmosphere with good staff.
