2025 update - still amazing!

This lovely, family run coffee and food spot is another example of walking the back lanes of Chiang Mai’s Old City and finding real gems. They always greet us warmly and make us feel welcome.

The service is friendly, the coffee was superb (at least the double shot lattes that we always ordered), and the food is fresh and delicious. Prices are also very much in line with the better, local coffee shops in the Old City.

The Americano is a generous size, the cappuccino foam is heavenly. Butterscotch coffee is lovely and not too sweet, can be said the caramel macchiato. They make a nice mocha.

Seating is comfortable, the wifi is strong and consistent, and there are fans in abundance to help keep you cool on even the hottest days. We could sit here for a long while and order coffee and food while catching up on digital work, but that leads us to mention the only drawback of the place.

Much to our surprise, they don’t have a toilet. This is absolutely something to keep in mind in terms of your timing for a visit.

If you’re walking past the area, then yes visit this place. I made my way all the way from the airport for this and it’s not worth the hype from other reviews. You get what you paid for this small cafe - their servings are small.

Food and drinks are okay. Clean wood aesthetic and quiet café if you’re looking to chill.

It’s too quite for me though, I guess since it’s a neighbourhood are.

Giving it a 3 cause I made an effort to come this way and my expectations are not met. Haha

PJs holds such a special place in my heart, it was hard not to eat every meal here!

From my usual order of pork omelette and espresso, to my guiltier pleasures of banana smoothies and basque burnt cheesecake, everything on the menu is delicious!

The seating is outdoors under the houses yellow awnings, which create a cozy warm hue when the sun is shining. It’s an oasis!

And the most important part! The owner and her family are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. Each and every time eating here was a pleasure!
