I might be bias. I have been going to this place since like almost 40 years ago. Some of the dishes were incomparable then but there are better places now (bread and beef tongue stew for example). Some of the dishes are still great (baked pork rib and beef kang Kari are really great).
Price is not cheap compare to the old and dated atmosphere but the taste of the food justifies that. Old Thai hospitality like free water in a jug is still there. Heavy water drinking like me and my family really love that. Also it really bring me back old memories when all restaurants offer you free iced water. Sadly not anymore.
If you are in the area, please stop by. The atmosphere dated back around 4-50 years ago. They really keep it the same way it has been long time ago. Read moreI've become a regular here. It's an old-fashioned place with faded 70's ambience; but I love the old-school food. You can tell it's cooked and served with love, with attention to little details in presentation. I think the food is great value.
The cooking show always on the TV (with muted sound) somehow adds to my appetite, and the small fan under the table (in addition to the aircon) is great for cooling (as well as keeping mossies away?).
