Homey Japanese restaurant in Chiangmai city. Easy to locate, variety of menu, good taste.
I ordered the Tonkatsu Set (200 THB), which came with 2 side dishes and 1 miso soup. (I changed the basic miso soup to pork miso soup by paying an additional 20 THB.) * I really liked the special Tonkatsu Sauce that came with the set (it's different from the complimentary Tonkatsu sauce they provide on every table)
Overall, I would be happy to be back at this restaurant if I had a longer stay in Chiangmai.
PS: During my visit, there were several Japanese customers who dined at the restaurant. So, I think this also reflects how authentic (or at least, decent) this...

This place has a lot of Japanese people. The prices look reasonable. They also have free beverage like green tea, barley tea and water. Side dish: radish WAS THE BOMB. I finished it lol They have lunch set but didn't know what they were (couldn't find what it was)
Decided to order this Hokke Set- took awhile compared to the lunch set but wowwwwww a huge fish. The skin was a bit hard to chew for me, so I didn't eat. Bones were soft. It's a very "clean" fish and meal altogether. This was THB320.

Read moreAnother wonderful favorite Japanese restaurant serving delicious home-style food. I've noticed that this is another very popular spot for both Japanese and Thai residents alike, so it does get pretty busy sometimes.
Set menus are reasonably priced with very well arranged portions of main dishes and cute little side dishes.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, and - as I haven't visited in a while - am happy to see that they've now expanded the restaurant to accommodate more customers too.
Apparently, aside from a delivery service, they also have their set meals available for purchase at HillSide Condo on Huay...
