Somtam nimman sukhasem — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I was looking for an empty restaurant on a new year day in Nimman and it was hard and everywhere was pretty much packed. I have walk by here many times I knew this place was always empty, so I finally gave a try. Well, it turned out it is one of the best thai restaurants I have been to in Chiang Mai and you really gotta try. The grilled chicken is as good or even better than the popular restaurant right nearby and the garlic stir fried liver was super good. The space is nice enough to bring your guests too. Asked for a recommendation and the MD suggested their papaya salad and the spicy, sour soup.

Added in the sticky rice and a tamarind drink.

It was delicious.

Then papaya in the salad had a very nice crunch (fresh), not like it was sitting around for a bit.

The pork bone soup had a kick, was flavourful and rich. Pairing it with sticky rice had a nice chew and finish to it.

The tamarind drink was not too sweet and had a tinge of sourness.

All for 165 baht.

Would definitely go back and try other menu items, if not the same...
