If you're looking for a top-notch sushi experience in town, look no further than Sushi Ichiban! My recent visit to this restaurant left me absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the exceptional service I received from Phonphawit Booninkheaw.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted and made to feel right at home. Our server, Phonphawit, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and helped guide us through the many delicious options. He made several excellent recommendations, and each dish we tried was more delicious than the last.

The food is good but a little overpriced. They put generous amounts of high quality fish on their dishes, which is great, but the chef lacks technique (for example, he presses the rice way too much when rolling the sushi, so he ends up smashing it) and does not use gloves (you can see him working while you wait for the food). Had sushi here 2 nights in a row as it was near my lodging. Sashimi is fresh and of generous portions and variety. They clearly care about the quality and taste of their food - their omelette and other sides were well done too. Got their chirashi don both times with green tea. Place is clean and staff are friendly. Took a star off as the place is rather small with limited seating - I was dining solo and the bar seats (for solo diners) had AC blowing full force at your face so it was uncomfortable.
