He was previously a chef at a Michelin-starred hotel restaurant in Bangkok.

The dishes we tried today:

Salad: The vegetables looked delicious and there were capers too. His dressing was delicious and it gave me a refreshing feeling that I can't describe.

Terrine de campagne: This is a great appetizer. When you eat it, you should spread butter on bread, cut the pork and put it on it, add the side vegetables, sprinkle it on, and finally spread a lot of butter on it and eat it. The taste will be very well-balanced.

Roasted chicken breast: The chicken breast was tender and the side vegetables were also delicious and tasted very good.

Bouillabaisse: This is my favorite dish because it has a variety of flavors, including large shrimp, fish (I think it was red snapper), and squid. It is served with a simmering broth that is deep and smooth. You must try it.

The food at La Friandise is undeniably good and high-quality—no complaints there. The beef stew was delicious, though the chicken fillet with potatoes lacked a bit of flavor by comparison. However, I’m giving only one star due to a combination of issues with service, pricing, and portion sizes.

While the flavors were impressive, the service was quite average. We felt rushed to order as the waitress seemed impatient, and then we ended up waiting nearly an hour for our dishes. Even though we arrived when the restaurant was empty, other tables were served before us despite arriving later.

As for pricing and portions, we spent over 2000 baht for just one shared appetizer and a main dish each. The portions left us still hungry, and we actually had to eat something else afterward. For the price, the portions are too small, giving an unpleasant feeling of being overcharged, even if the taste is good.
