I recently had lunch at RUAY MITR Ekkamai (the same owner as RUAY MITR Sathorn soi 10) and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting and vibrant, perfectly complementing the delicious food served. The highlights of my meal included: 1. PengYou fried beef: the thin slice of meat was slightly fried and served in Hong Kong style sauce: it was so tender! The name PengYou (朋友) means friends in Chinese. So it is a great dish to celebrate friendship ^^ 2. Crispy Pork with Chinese Cabbage: This dish was a perfect harmony of textures and flavors. The crispy pork was succulent, and the cabbage provided a refreshing crunch. The light sauce brought everything together beautifully. 3. Raw Shrimp Salad Oularagvoy: This dish was a revelation. The shrimps were incredibly fresh, and the spicy, tangy dressing was invigorating. The cilantro and chopped garlic added layers of flavor that made each bite a delight. I had to order this dish every single time I come to RUAY MITR and they can make it with no chili for me 👍👍👍 All served with free flow soft-boiled rice, of course! The presentation of each dish was impeccable, as shown in the pictures. The plates were not only visually appealing but also designed to enhance the eating experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure every need was met promptly. Overall, RUAY MITR Ekkamai offers a memorable experience with its authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon!

Have been a huge fan of their boiled rice since they opened Ruay Mitr in Sathorn, however this new branch of theirs is much better, bigger, and more hip! Love the funky decor on every floor. We got a table on the second floor with the glass house which was so nice as you can see the sky and it was as if we were dining outdoors (but with air conditioning which is good because Bangkok is hottt!). Food came very fast and they have this new dish at this branch which was crispy pork with vermicelli tom yam. It was nice and creamy (with the egg). The boiled rice is unlimited (my friend had like 3 bowls of rice) and we ordered so many beef dishes, all of them were so tender and flavourful. Loved every dish honestly. The only bad thing was as the night went on, sometimes the waiters can forget dishes or serve some dishes twice like they got the table wrong, but they've only been open for a month I think, so it might take some time for them to settle in with training staff and such. But overall, we had an amazing experience. They have new desserts at this branch too, the almond milk pudding with chestnut (mont blanc) paste was so soft and not too sweet - highly recommend! They also do a nice take on the traditional Thai-Chinese dessert of grass jelly, where they serve it "granita" style, and the jelly came in noodle form. Price per head: ~1000 THB (w/o alcohol) Parking: try your luck on the curbside, otherwise you can park at Park Lane Ekamai but it's very expensive and there's no discount. :(

The restaurant we’re reviewing today is a rice soup shop that’s anything but ordinary. It’s the perfect place to start or end your journey in this area. The warm and friendly atmosphere makes you want to linger and not go anywhere else. Not only do they serve delicious food, but the restaurant’s decor also creates a relaxing environment, complemented by attentive and friendly staff that encourages endless conversations. The menu offers a variety of dishes that emphasize taste and are reasonably priced, making it accessible for both locals and tourists alike. Whether it’s their signature rice soup or other recommended dishes, you can fully enjoy the flavors that appeal to everyone. Furthermore, the restaurant also serves alcoholic beverages, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment to gatherings with friends or family. However, it's worth noting that parking can be a bit challenging on busy nights, and accessibility for wheelchair users may not be very convenient. Despite these minor inconveniences, this restaurant remains an excellent gathering spot for families or friends looking to spend quality time together without any rush. You can be assured that you will have a delightful experience here that you won’t soon forget.
