High quality ingredients and interesting menu, but maybe not for a fan of the real Japanese taste 🤔
According to my tastebuds only, their food was good, but a little bit too much flavored in every dish.
My Kaisen Don is quite salty 🧂 from the sauce. You can see the amount of sauce go up to quarter of the bowl. All fish served fresh, but a little bit too tiny for this price.
Miso soup is good and also salty as well. But have a lot of seaweed which I like very much 😋
Uni pudding doesn’t have uni taste at all. It’s good if you consider it is just pudding, but… they also have… simple pudding as well…
I have stingray fins tempura for free from their CRM program. This one is good to have 🥰
The atmosphere in the restaurant seems fun with all the staff dance to a customer’s birthday. They also do their job right.
I would say that this place is a good restaurant to spend your night hanging out with your friends or co-workers. However, I think they have adapted the taste of their food to be suitable for Thai people too much. But maybe it’s just me who have tried only a few dishes....
Read moreSorry that I have to edit this 8-months old review. I have always been the loyal customer of Teppen for more than 2 years. And still, Teppen is my comfort place so I would like to raise things I face today for improvement. Today, I ordered 2 don and both of them have excessive amount of sauce compared to over 10 or 20 dons I've experienced with Teppen. As you can see in the picture, the rice was soaked making the whole dish very sweet. Even though we tried to scoop the rice, it didn't help😭 (I've raised the issue to the on-site staff and was informed that it was due to the sauce used to cook the fish/shrimp. But it was never been put in this much and shouldn't be put in this much and it was too sweet anyway😭)
Again, I didn't mean to blame the restaurant for this but just want to raise it up and hope that there will be an improvement on this because I still want Teppen to be my comfort food.
Teppen Ekamai has been my comfort place for years. With great taste of food, welcoming staffs and the atmosphere, this is a place that worth...
Read moreThe restaurant is located in a quaint and quiet area that feels both relaxing and comfortable. The seating options are versatile, with indoor seating, traditional Japanese-style floor seating (complete with leg space for comfort), and peaceful outdoor seating. The lighting strikes the perfect balance—not too bright, not too dark—creating an ideal ambiance.
The welcome reception was a delightful surprise. Upon entering, the entire staff, including the chefs, greeted us warmly and in unison, making us feel genuinely welcome.
The ordering process was exceptional. Our waitress sat down with my husband and I to personally explain all the menu options, which added a personal and attentive touch to our experience.
When my husband’s food arrived, it was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Shortly after, our sushi was served, and it was equally outstanding.
From the atmosphere to the food quality, and from the chefs to the staff, everything was top-notch. This is truly a 5-star experience, and we will definitely...
