Yamachan always been one of the greatest, most consistent izakaya in Bangkok. It’s my first time at this location but the food seems to be more delicious.
We came here right after a concert last Saturday night. Everyone’s hungry also just wanted to find a place for after-party. I’m glad that I recommend this place to them.
Service is worth mentioning, at least for my experience. Staffs handle our group of 14 people like a pro. Food came out on time, we called them for stuff far too many times but they response perfectly well.
Yamachan original chicken wings was a hit. We kept repeating 5 pieces plates. Every single wings fried to perfection, strong seasoning of black pepper and garlicky soy sauce glaze. We couldn’t stop eating them with beer. For me, their matcha beer seriously the most refreshing.
Tempura squids, fried chicken skins also amazing. While karaage and chicken wasabi nanban were just average. I don’t like to eat chicken too often but we did order variety of chicken dishes here which most of them were addictive.
Yamachan fried rice, I think it’s as impressive as their original chicken wings. Rice perfectly charred, balance seasoning so the flavor is just right, not too strong and not nearly as bland. Normally, you’d find fried rice like this at any good ramen shops. I’m surprised to find such perfect basic fried rice here at Yamachan.
Everyone in the group also love the food, including one of our friends from Nagoya, he also approved.
Overall, it’s a flawless dinner. I really want to come back again next weekend, specifically...
