Susan Croissant (HQ) — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

We were looking for cafes in the Ekkaimai area and stumbled upon this cute place. Upon arriving the ambience was very welcoming and the energy of the employees matched the atmosphere. There is a huge selection on the menu from savoury to sweet. After looking through the menu several times, we decided to get two croissants; one chicken ham and cheese and one pizza. A walnut 239 doughnut, three pieces of the caramel brownie, and a mocha.

The ham and cheese is definitely a 9/10 and the pizza 8/10. The croissants were a short wait and made nice and fresh. We opted in for the Walnut 239 as the Biscoff donut we saw from previous photos was sold out. The pastry of the donut is very unique as it is similar to the croissant.

Moving on to the delicious Caramel brownies. These also have a spin on them. It tastes like a solid chocolate mousse, with caramel syrup and these flavoured corn flakes that add just the right amount of crunch! The mocha was standard but packed a much stronger flavour than regularly expected.

Self-described as a “house of Croissant” it is in Ekkamai that guests will find a two-story shop selling Viennoiserie, and although purists likely won’t find the lamination up to par a dose of creativity goes far at Susan Croissant.

Known for a large collection of Pastries amidst cute décor, smaller-than-average portions allowing diners to sample a variety, it is fresh from the oven that Susan is best experienced, at least in the case of their Butter version that crackles nicely to the tooth.

So we chanced upon Susan croissant as my friends and I were in search of a much needed cafe for some sweet treats. It happen to be within walking distance from where we were for breakfast :)
