29Jan25: Now they have lunch too. Pretty good. Nice food. Lovely people.

30Jan19: If I have to recommend a comfort joint in Bangkok, I would say The District Grill Room & Bar under the lead of hristian Caluwaert is definitely one of them. There is no fuss nor pretentious characteristics. Dishes here are packed with flavour.

The artichoke soup with black truffle tonight was scrumptious while the tenderloin was delightful. Nice medium rare with red wine and jus alongside pomme dauphine. Proportion also came with quite a nice balance though it could still be called a "cheat meal".

I often find fine dining is pretty much about protein, carbohydrate, and fat. But it is not the case here. Anyway I can confidently say I do like it here.

25Feb19: Monthly menu at The District for this February is Iberico. Tasted pork and lamb dishes and both were outstanding. The two important points for these dishes in my understanding were 1) flavour profile and 2) texture. Iberico ingredients can be rich and it is crucial that side dishes and sauce match and balance such flavour. Indeed they were wonderful tonight. Secondly, both pork and lamb were tender and juicy. Especial attention is for pork tenderloin. Even it is Iberico, it can be overcooked and tough unlike pluma part. Yet execution was more or less perfect. 👍👍👍

Perhaps it was fortunate that wine tonight was Benjamin Leroux Puligny-Montrachet Champ Gain 2011. It was pretty lovely the way acidity and richness of this chardonnay profile matched pork flavour. I'm not talking about lamb in this case. Btw, the wine opened up nicely within 10 minutes so it is an opportunity to savour at this stage, I believe.

29June2019: Don't ask why I keep coming back to @thedistrictbangkok 😁😁😁 Their steak is surely good. But even better is the skill of Christian Caluwaert , dishes were cooked nicely. The kitchen team is awesome too. Lobster tonight was poached perfectly. Sweet and juicy. The pork ribs was like bone falling off. Holy good. Oh...btw, their sorbet is yummy too. Thanks the service team, especially K. An who has been awesome throughout, and K. Lookmee and K. Deer who took care of us awesomely tonight. ^^

4October2019: Short rib this time was really scrumptious. It was juicy, smoky, and packed with flavour. Deserve an applause. 👏👏👏 Just love this restaurant really.

On behalf of Dr. Itsarapa and Miss Pornsupak, I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating both my birthday and my friend’s birthday at The District Grill Room and Bar, and it was nothing short of magical! From the very first moment we arrived, everything felt so special—like the entire evening was perfectly designed just for us.

The whole team deserves endless praise. Every single staff member delivered service at the highest level—warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. A very special thanks goes to Max, Nid, and Nunung (from Surat) for making our birthday celebration truly unforgettable. And to the kind staff member who helped carry our items—you went above and beyond and we will never forget that kindness.

We always choose to celebrate birthdays here, and the reason is simple—we have never, ever been disappointed. The service is consistently flawless, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff make sure that every little detail is perfect, and we always feel completely looked after from start to finish.

And the food? Absolutely divine! Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It turns every birthday dinner into an unforgettable feast.

I honestly cannot recommend The District Grill Room and Bar highly enough. If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would! Yet another satisfied customer of this fine establishment! I had no problem finding the Marriott hotel after taking exit 3 from BTS Thong Lo and following the BTS link to a staircase that led down to the hotel. Upon entering the Marriott I took the stairs up to the second floor and was greeted by the hostess at District restaurant.

The ambience inside the dining room is very warm and welcoming. All the small detail have had close attention given to them. I really enjoyed being mesmerized by the fire burning on the grill, what a classy feature.

This was my first time having Wagyu beef (Next Level Burger) and let me tell you all, the name certainly delivers!! It was the best burger I have tasted, the beef had a flavour that truly melted in my mouth and it was easy to eat all of the large burger!! The attentive server brought me a finger bowl and addition napkin while I devoured this beast of a burger. There is nothing more satisfying than looking into the kitchen after eating, catching the attention of the Chef and giving him a huge smile of gratitude.

It was my girlfriend’s birthday here and the restaurant delighted us with a melody of chocolate and berry while singing happy birthday to her. It made our night simply amazing. Thank you for the incredible...
