Kosirae Thonglor: A True Korean BBQ Experience in Bangkok 🇰🇷🥩
When it comes to Korean BBQ in Bangkok, few places are as well-known as Kosirae Thonglor. Tucked inside Sukhumvit Soi 57, just a short walk from BTS Thonglor 🚆, this restaurant has earned a loyal following among locals, expats, and tourists alike.
Atmosphere & Vibes ✨
The moment you walk in, the air is filled with the irresistible aroma of sizzling pork belly and marinated meats 🔥. The restaurant has multiple floors with plenty of tables, making it suitable for both small groups and larger gatherings. The vibe is casual, lively, and perfectly suited for an evening of grilling, laughter, and good company 👯♀️🍻. It can get smoky, but that’s part of the authentic Korean BBQ charm.
Food & Buffet Highlights 🥓🍗🦐
Kosirae operates on an all-you-can-eat buffet system with several price tiers 💸. For pork lovers, the thick-cut samgyeopsal (pork belly) is the undisputed star 🐷🥓. Marinated spicy pork brings a nice balance of heat 🌶️, while soy-garlic chicken offers a flavorful alternative 🍗.
Seafood fans can upgrade to premium sets that include shrimp, squid, and mussels 🦑🦐🦪. The freshness is impressive considering the buffet pricing.
What really elevates the experience is the banchan (Korean side dishes). From classic kimchi to spinach, pickled radish, potato salad, and even fluffy steamed egg served hot in a stone bowl 🍳—everything is refillable, and it makes the meal feel endless.
Service & Experience 🙏⚡
Service at Kosirae is consistently praised. The staff is attentive, quick to replace the grill, and always ready to bring fresh plates. Despite the restaurant being busy almost every evening, orders come out fast, which keeps the dining flow smooth and enjoyable.
The buffet time limit is usually 90 minutes for small groups and up to 120 minutes for larger ones ⏱️. Honestly, that’s more than enough to eat to your heart’s content. Pair your meal with Korean soju 🍶 or soft drinks, and you’ve got the full Seoul-style dining experience right in Bangkok.
Value & Practical Tips 💯
Kosirae offers excellent value for money. The meat quality is solid, the side dishes are generous, and the atmosphere is authentic. Prices are fair, though remember that VAT and service charge are added to the bill 🧾.
Parking is limited 🚗, so most diners prefer taking the BTS, which is just a few minutes away.
Final Thoughts 🌟
Overall, Kosirae Thonglor is one of the best Korean BBQ buffet spots in Bangkok. The combination of quality meats, endless side dishes, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it a go-to destination for anyone craving authentic Korean flavors. Whether you’re celebrating with friends, catching up over soju, or simply hungry for a BBQ feast, Kosirae delivers every time 🥳🔥.

Read moreIt’s really not a one star but I’d give it 2 half at best and I had to give it one to even out the avg. possibly the most overrated kbbq in bkk. As a matter of fact I’d say it’s the worst I’ve been to here. All the locations in KTown, Drum in ratchada, even the other location near w district is better. It’s a shame because the ambiance of the location is not bad but their selection of sides lack. You need to pay extra for basic stuff like steamed eggs. Missing garlic pieces for you to roast, and even sesemee oil. One positive is that they have a wide selection of marinated stuff available but I am not a fan of it especially cause the grill they chose is a charcoal over open flame yakiniku style. This tends to burn and dry out the meat especially marinated meats as the marination has a tendency to catch fire. They don’t offer u a choice of meats but they give u a bunch of diff ones including chicken... so you’ll have to force yourself to eat stuff that’s filling and not that great. Chicken was a pain to cook and I feel like I’ve eaten a few raw pieces... time limit here is also only an hr and a half and the lines are usually very long. Probabaly won’t come back but I had to see what the hype was about. I am korean so maybe I have...
Read moreI finally had the chance to try Kosirae, a well-known Korean BBQ spot that has been around for years. Located in Thonglor Soi 1, this restaurant offers a buffet starting at just 299 THB for a pork set. Today, we opted for the 499 THB set, which includes seafood—and it was totally worth it!
One thing to note: If you don’t specify what you want, the staff will bring out everything from the menu! So, it’s best to order only what you actually plan to eat.
Highlights of this place: ✅ Thick, juicy pork belly that grills beautifully and tastes amazing. ✅ A variety of side dishes, with my favorites being kimchi, pickled radish, and fruit salad. ✅ The seafood set (499 THB) includes shrimp and squid, adding more variety to the meal. ✅ Plenty of fresh vegetables to pair with the BBQ meats.
The atmosphere here is quiet and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy Korean BBQ without the usual hustle and bustle. If you love Korean buffets, Kosirae is...
