Torajiro — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

The restaurant looked Japanese and they served Japanese-like food but there is nothing Japanese about this place. If I want to be really fussy, they do not greet you like they do in Japanese establishments and you pay at the table instead of at the till. The food is quite a joke. Warm sashimi with the salmon almost falling apart and tuna slices smelled fishy. The grilled ginkgo nuts were not grilled; the agedashi tofu and chicken karaage both tasteless. The tempura batter is not the light and fluffy ones in any authentic Japanese restaurants and you had to chew through a thick mass to get to anything. In my opinion, there are just too many other Japanese choices in Sukhumvit to be bothered with one! *Responding to owner’s reply: I admire your ability to be so receptive to criticism. รวม ๆ คือเนื้อจะไม่มีรส แต่มีกลิ่นจากการย่าง รสจะได้จากการจิ้มซอส มีกะหล่ำให้เคี้ยวเล่น กินเพลิน ๆ

โอยาโกะจู (ก็โอยาโกด้งแหละ)=== ข้าวหน้าไก่กับไข่ ใส่เห็ดด้วย! มีเห็ดหอมกับเห็ดเข็มทอง ไข่เป็นแบบสุกไปเลย ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องดีที่มีเห็ดเพราะไข่สุกขนาดนี้น่าจะแปลว่าตุ๋นนาน นั่นก็แปลว่าจะทำให้รสของเห็ดเข้าไปกับเนื้อไข่ได้มากขึ้น

ซูชิมากุโร่ (ทูน่า)=== ความสดของปลาดีมาก ข้าวมีใส่การปรุงรสอย่างที่ข้าวซูชิควรจะเป็น ข้าวแฉะไปนิดนึงแต่ยังอยู่ในระดับที่คุณภาพโอเคมาก ๆ ประทับใจทั้งความสดและรสชาติของซูชิมาก

ราคา=== ราคาที่เป็นอาหารจะเริ่มที่ 100-500฿ ต่อจาน (ไม่รวม vat) มีอาหารหลากหลายทั้งเสียบไม้ย่าง, ของดิบ, ของทอด, ของกินจริงจัง, ของกินขำ ๆ, ข้าว, เส้น ของแพงสุดในร้านคือปลาไหล แต่มีไซส์ครึ่งเดียวในราคาเข้าถึงง่ายด้วยนะ! พวกเสียบไม้ย่างจะเริ่มที่ประมาณ 50-90฿ มีขายเป็นเซ็ตด้วย อาหารทั่วไปจะอยู่ที่ 100-300฿ ส่วนมาก ต่อจานจะอยู่ที่ไม่เกิน 200฿ ที่เกิน 200฿ จะเป็นเนื้อดี ๆ ที่พิเศษกว่าทั่วไป ปลาดิบต่อคำราคาเริ่มที่ 100฿ ข้าวปลาดิบรวมอยู่ที่ 300 ต้น ๆ ซึ่งเป็นราคามาตรฐานที่ได้รสชาติดีมาก ๆ
