I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to Victoria by Cocotte, on the evening of 11th October 2024.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the temperature inside the restaurant was uncomfortably warm, as though there was no functioning air conditioning system at all. The heat created an unpleasant dining environment. I overheard a staff member inform two nearby customers that the air conditioning system had broken down. However, as a paying customer, I believe I should have been notified directly about the situation, allowing me to make an informed decision about my dining experience.
When I raised the issue with the restaurant manager, I was told that the information I had received was incorrect and that the air conditioning was not broken. Despite this, he simply stated there was nothing he could do to address the discomfort from the heat.
As a customer paying a premium for both the food and ambiance, I expected the restaurant to take more responsibility in managing the situation. A simple notification about the issue would have made a significant difference in my experience. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and the dismissive response from the manager left me with a negative impression and significantly affected my overall dining experience.
This situation reflects poor customer service, which is not in line with the reputation of your establishment. I believe it is crucial to improve communication with your customers and take greater care in managing situations like this to avoid future dissatisfaction.
While I understand that technical issues can occur, how they are handled is key. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure that such matters are better managed in the future.
(Edit 16 October 2024) The restaurant replied my complaint.
“Thank you for your recent visit to Victoria by Cocotte. We appreciate your feedback regarding your experience. Please note that due to our open kitchen, proximity to the mall entrance, and large windows, our restaurant can be warm, even with a fully functioning air conditioning system. Unfortunately, as the mall is responsible for the AC system, our staff does not have the ability to monitor or control its performance. We are actively working to explore additional solutions to improve temperature regulation. We understand that our staff attempted to ease your discomfort with a complimentary dessert, though we regret this was not able to improve your experience. Nevertheless, we hope you might give us another opportunity to welcome you back under better conditions. Sincerely, The Hospitality...
Read moreVictoria by Cocotte is located on the ground floor of EmQuartier, right across from Gourmet Market and next to the mall’s entrance — super easy to find. The atmosphere is bright, airy, and inviting, making it a nice spot whether you’re in a hurry or want to sit and relax.
The food overall was tasty and well-presented. I started with a Café Vienno, which uses whipped cream instead of milk. It was rich, smooth, and had a unique, creamy kick — definitely worth a try if you like strong coffee.
For the appetizer, I had the Truffle Camembert — loaded with Camembert cheese and truffle mushrooms. It felt like they gave you the whole wheel of cheese! Super indulgent and perfect for cheese lovers.
For the main course, I went with Victoria’s Signature Paella, served in a large pan with saffron rice topped with a mix of seafood and pork sausage. It’s a big portion, ideal for sharing. However, I personally found it a bit too rich to finish alone.
Overall, the service and food were great, but the price is on the higher side — around 2,700++ baht for one appetizer and one main course (excluding dessert).
If you’re looking for a stylish place to dine in EmQuartier with flavorful dishes and good service, Victoria by Cocotte is definitely worth...
Read moreI used to come here often for breakfast because they open early—at 8 a.m., earlier than the mall’s opening hours. I’m still a regular visitor because I absolutely adore their salad and sandwich menus. The salads are always fresh and well-seasoned, unlike many other places where they simply toss some vegetables and meat together and pour dressing on top.
Their sandwiches are also excellent—flavorful and thoughtfully put together, not just random ingredients thrown between bread. Today I had the melted cheese and mushroom sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was crispy and tasty on its own, and the filling was perfectly seasoned, rich in flavor, satisfying without being greasy or overly indulgent.
The staff is well-trained, clearly guided by a detail-oriented manager (at least from what I’ve observed). You can count on everything being consistent and well done whenever you visit.
They do offer free ice cream for leaving a Google review, but I’m sharing this based purely on my own experience—I didn’t take the ice cream because I was already...
