Shaloba Eatery — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Subdistrict

If you're looking for an out of the ordinary coffee experience in Bangkok, Shaloba is the place to go. They serve Turkish style coffee over 3 branches in the city. I checked out the one near Emquartier Mall and had a great time!

The restaurant occupies a two-story building that looks like a glasshouse with a roof, surrounded by green gardening. The interior is quite unique, with a cross between alchemist's lab and a relaxing bar. They also sell aroma essence oils inside the restaurant.

Without wasting a beat, I immediately ordered an Ethopian coffee upon arrival. It was a pleasure to watch the coffee brewing, starting from grinding of the beans, boiling it over heated sand, and filtering through a drip. The Ethiopian coffee was superb, with a hint of aromatic Middle Eastern spices. The barista carefully prepared the heated sand for each fresh brew, attained the desired temperature by evenly spreading the sand and checking the temperature using an infrared thermometer.

Picked a table with beautiful light and shadow patterns, and absolutely ❤️ the photos!

For starter, I had a smoked salmon on avodaco toast, with a pinch of salmon roe, quite a candy to the eye. Smoked salmon was done just right, with a silky texture and not too dry. The grilled hangar steak was okay, juicy but a little difficult to bite through at some areas.

Would have ordered another coffee if not for the matcha session...

But the real star of the show? The special Turkish coffee.Wow. It’s not just a drink—it’s an experience. Served in a traditional pot, it came with that perfect layer of crema on top and an aroma so intense, I couldn’t stop inhaling it before I even took a sip. Smooth, strong, and deeply aromatic, it was hands down one of the best cups of Turkish coffee I’ve had outside of Istanbul.

ไม่ได้มีดีแค่บรรยากาศเท่านั้นนะทุกคน แต่เมนูอาหารของที่นี่ก็จัดเต็มไม่แพ้กัน จะมาทาน Brunch ช่วง 10.00 - 16.00 น. ก็ได้ หรือจะพาคนพิเศษมา Dinner ยามค่ำคืนก็ดีต่อใจ แถมเมนูอาหารแต่ละจานยังน่าทานมาก ๆ อีกด้วย ไม่ว่าจะของคาว ของหวาน หรือเครื่องดื่มก็มีครบจบในหนึ่งเดียว

🍅 Shakshuka : เมนูนี้เราชอบมาก! ให้คะแนนเต็มสิบเลย รสชาติเข้มข้น เปรี้ยวเบา ๆ เผ็ดปลายลิ้นนิด ๆ ยิ่งทานคู่กับ Grilled Bread ยิ่งฟินมากขึ้นไปอีก

🥪 Super Bikini Sandwich : Brioche Toast นุ่มหนึบอัดแน่นมาด้วย Topping แบบจุใจไม่มีหวง ทั้ง Cheese ทั้ง Parmaham เพิ่มความนัวด้วย Truffle Paste หอม ๆ

🍴Beetroot Hummus : จานนี้จะมีส่วนผสมของ Beetroot Humus, Avocado, Feta Cheese, Red Radish และ Grilled Bread ให้ทานด้วยกัน

🍔 Grilled Beef Burger : เมนูเอาใจสายเนื้อโดยเฉพาะ ขอบอกว่าเนื้อนุ่มฉ่ำมาก สมกับเป็น Wagyu Beef เลย ส่วนขนมปังก็นุ่บหนึบเข้ากั๊นเข้ากันกับเนื้อได้เป็นอย่างดี พร้อมเสิร์ฟคู่กับ Potato Wedges ทอดร้อน ๆ

🥩 Steak n' Egg : Beef Lover ต้องเจอกันหน่อยกับ Grilled Hanger Steak ชิ้นโต เสิร์ฟร้อน ๆ ในระดับความสุกแบบ Medium Rare จับคู่ความอร่อยมาพร้อม Tomato Jam, Chorizo Potato และไข่ดาวแบบ Sunny Side-up

ทานมื้ออาหารคาวจนอิ่มแล้ว ก็ไม่พลาดที่จะเติมความหวานด้วยขนมและเครื่องดื่มเย็น ๆ ชื่นใจ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Tiramisu, Classic French Toast, Hello Yellow เมนู Cold Pressed Juice ของสายเฮลตี้ ต่อด้วย Winter's Wish และ Christ Cheers เมนู Special Drink สำหรับเทศกาลแห่งความสุขนี้เท่านั้น

โอ้โห! Beyond ความเป็นคาเฟ่เพื่อเอาใจทุกคนขนาดนี้จะอดใจยังไงให้ไหว ว่าแล้วก็รีบพุ่งตัวไปเช็คอินก่อนใครได้เลย ต้องประทับใจเหมือนเราจนอยากกลับมาบ่อย ๆ แน่นอน 🥰
