مطعم اليمني ابو دبه — Restaurant in Khlong Toei Nuea Subdistrict

This restaurant was very busy on Tuesday for lunch. The owner was very friendly and the air conditioning in this restaurant was quite adequate. I was quite surprised that even on a weekday Tuesday that restaurant was almost full of patrons.

Since I Did not know what to order I just kind of looked around to see what other customers were having.

I ordered a Mutton. Soup with rice and some bean paste with the Nan Bread. The food was quite delicious and very generous portions.

This is a very very nice Middle Eastern (Yemen I think) restaurant and the food is just entirely authentic and the serving Thai staff was very very friendly.

Overall, I think this place is really fantastic for some sojourn into Exotic Arab cuisine. Really really good food at very reasonable prices.

I was craving some Arabic food while I’m in Bangkok and decided to come here. I want please with the service and me and my family were constantly ignored by waiters despite trying to catch their attention for a long time. The atmosphere is very loud and noisy too. Even though this place claims to have Lebanese food I would say it isn’t Lebanese quality middle eastern food and they have better Yemeni dishes. We got hummus, fattoush, falafel, lamb chops, lamb kebab and chicken Mandi. The only thing I enjoyed was the chicken Mandi. The rest was below average quality Arabic food. The hummus has a wierd after taste and the tahina they use isn’t good. The lamb chops were hard to chew and the lamb kebabs didn’t feel fresh. The bread and the falafel here is decent. I wouldn’t come here again...

We had a really good dinner there. We had a quite big team 11 persons, but they were not surprised. They told us that they were going to open the third floor just for us. The waiter was very helpful and kind, he understood everything and was able to communicate back with no problem at all. He managed to write down every order and get back to everybody. We got water by default and got aperitive which was really nice. The food took some time to make but for this group this is understandable. In the end, we got all the same time, and if we had more orders, the waiter got it for us an instant, but this was true for everything (for extra plate, for extra cutlery, for extra water, everything.)
