Very bad experience as we were planning to go to Italian restaurant but by mistake we went to this place. QR system for ordering doesn’t work properly as we never intended to make any order after we saw the menu. Since we never confirmed order we just decided to leave the place as we realised that right Italian restaurant is bit further in aside street. When almost everybody from the group left, our last friend was kept by aggressive owner (I guess) saying that he will call police if we don’t return. When we returned, confused by what is happening since we didn’t confirm any order, owner was super rude and blaming us from stealing. Different man needed to be called as the owner barely speaks English. After explanation we found middle way to pay for what is ready. Honestly we just wanted to leave so we agreed. Strange was that 2 pizzas for THB 350 each, which were almost ready so we were forced to pay for this, came after like 15 minutes of waiting. Which didn’t even worth half of the price. I must admit that 2 cocktails were super good, at least something! When we went to pay, we didn’t want to make any problem and tried to say the same to the owner, in return we were still blamed that we didn’t want to pay for order and tried to leave without paying. I just gave up to try to explain anything as I wouldn’t be understood anyway…. For group of seven people, nobody recommends to visit this place due to the attitude of staff members and unfriendly environment. From reviews read after experiencing this I see that we are not the only ones and all of this is happening because of the new owner. Few years ago this place was...
Read moreTime to Chill Bar is the winner of IliosArts - Top of the Shelf Awards =) Katey and I love love loved the ambiance - especially at night - there was just a curl of smoke coming from the fire pit and magical Thailand bird songs - of course geckos and tree frogs tuning in to the open air dining experience. The space is for me what a jungle grotto leisure escape should be in every sense - the proprietor clearly spares no expense crafting the details - the space is a dream catcher of lush comfort. Lounge soft adult size bean bag chairs - throw pillows and deck style reclined seating, fresh cut flowers, vibrantly dyed tastefully selected fabrics appoint but don’t overtake the tables. This is living with Mother Nature, not clearing her away and it shows. The ingredients are market fresh, the sauces and seasoning from Adtaporn’s culinary expertise will have you wondering why on earth you even eat the food at your resort. None of the sugar obsessed concoctions here my friends - this is a skillful dance by a yogi chef with more than a home cooking tradition, we know he speaks at least three languages and in the US we’d quite literally be seeing his face on industry magazines as a Portland’s best kept Thai secret. One final note - and I know I know I’m gushing here but seriously .... Mojito. The best Mojito in all of Thailand and we were there for 6 weeks from Koh Chang Koh Mak Krabi Koh Adang Koh Mook and we tried a lot - this Mojito is for your mouth LiberT and romance - and pairs nicely with the magic of Time...
Read moreOur first impression was very good. The resort it's not far from any of the beaches, only about 15 min from the pier and 5 min from Sunset Beach. It's on the middle on a jungly bit. Our booking had breakfast included which was very nice. The wifi worked but only on the restaurant area, not on the rooms. We liked the style of the hut. It was basic but that's what we booked. It had a nice porche outside but after a couple of minutes we started being eaten by mosquitos! We realised that our hut had an open back where the toilet is so you have no escape. The only place you are safe is in bed with the mosquito net. We realised that our hut was the only one open like that, the next door had proper walls... So maybe they should fix that because the scary thing is the mosquitos will bite you even while showering so unfortunately we didn't enjoy much of the time while at the resort. I'm really sorry to say it, I don't like giving bad reviews as we liked the place but we weren't enjoying the time we were there. I think for the price you pay, maybe they should make the effort to isolate the rooms better from the mosquitos. I'm honestly not exaggerating. There are huts near the beach with cheaper prices or just about the same. On the good side the staff were lovely, that's why we feel bad about giving a not so...
