first and formost im a indian born and raised in UK london. Indians be aware of this place as his a racist and a bigot. please read on for the full story of this bigot place! to my surprise its highly rated on TA!
so went to this bar on a random on the 29th dec at around 10pm. my wife went for a massage so i thought I'd get a drink whilst i waited for her.
as soon as i got there and sat down i received what i can only describe as a dirty look from the owner "bang bang" but thought nothing of it and as i had just walked in and thought it cant be for me.
i sat next to a group of 4 from San Francisco and we were just chatting as i sat down. the owner never bothered to hand me a drinks menu nor acknowledge i was even sitting there apart from that dirty look i recived on arriving.
i then asked for a menu.and reluctantly he pointed to it at the end of the bar. as i chose my cocktail (which was good) i asked the group from san fran what thier opinion was, and as i did this i recived another dirty look. i again thought it cant be for me, (ive done nothing wrong) so i order my drink and off "bang bang" goes making my drink.
his inbetween making my drink and someone new walks in (happens to be a fellow British white guy) and the owner is super welcoming. huge smile even going around the bar (stppoed making my drink) to show him to the seat. bang bang then takes his order and makes and serves his drink first and continues to make mine and serves me after he hand delivered the drink to the white guy.
i then knew this guy has a problem with me ! but what the hell i was still chatting away with the san fran group so i just ignored him. half way through my drink he served all the san fan group chocolate bars and left me out. im a 33 year old man. and i hate chocolate but this was the icing on the cake for me. a blatant disrespect. i also heard him say khayak to a felliw worker a few times but didnt get it until i googled it.
"Thais have a word for Indians "Khayak" which actually means âGuest.â
and from researching its racism towards indians.
be warned all colour'd folks and indians. this place is racist. no matter how good their cocktails are. "bang bang" is bang out of order. his a dirty pervert.
top top it off my cocktail was 180bht. i gave him 200bht and he didn't give my change (50p) in other cases this would not have been a problem. but i asked for it. out of principle.
Avoid. especially if your indian or look it! dirty racist...

Railay Beach was my favourite place in Thailand and Bang Bang made it that much sweeter.
Firstly Bang Bang makes AMAZING cocktails! Everyone I tasted was more delicious than the next. He makes lovely refreshing fruit smoothies/ shakes as well. I loved the lime one and my friend loved the watermelon one :)
The bar may be small but it is a little gem in Railay Beach. You can tell that Bang Bang has gotten to know so many people over the years and has so many storied tucked away in his heart from over the years.
He is so sweet, greets everyone that walks past, and always has a smile on his face. He would give my friend and me Beng Beng bars for the morning to eat and once cut from his Aloe Vera plant that he had been growing for two months when I had a bad sunburn.
A caring, sweet soul who makes BANGING cocktails! Be sure to say hello and stop by after a long day to wind down with a nice yummy drink.

Read moreWe found this charming bar in the street next to our hotel.. We walked past it in the afternoon but kept it in our minds because it had a really nice ambience. After dinner as soon as the sun set we went back and met this amazing, warm and lively guy called "Bang Bang". We talked about Thailand while we enjoyed his state of the art cocktails. Maybe you, just like me, had a lot of cocktails/ beers or alcohol in general throughout Thailand. So did we.. Everything started to blend into eachother. This changed however, after we had our first cocktail at "Bang Bang Bar". Actual quality stuff guys, I'm not gonna lie. If you are looking for a genuine cozy spot to hang out, this is your place. Don't walk past this bar when you are Railay or, at least drop by later on like we did! No he did not ask us to write this review.. this place makes you...
