Unfortunately we had a very bad experience at this restaurant. Besides us, other guests were also not enthusiastic. The ambience and live music was good. However, one dish was forgotten. The other food was brought out after a very short time and was already cold. My chicken was totally dry and very tough to chew. I ordered chili a total of 3 times and nothing came. I then had the food returned. The reaction was completely incomprehensible and the looks from the two waitresses were very derogatory, even though I expressed the criticism very nicely. The waitress told me that the chicken was always so dry. However, I have already eaten it 100 times in Thailand and know the other restaurants. When we asked for the bill, the dish was included. I just put the money down for my wife's dishes and said I wouldn't pay for the other one. The waitress looked very dismissive again and disappeared. After a while she came back and counted, looked at me and waited for me to say something about the money. I said again that I won't pay it. The waitress then left without saying goodbye. Afterwards we left. There were two women sitting next to us who asked several times about the drinks and food they had ordered. They got there before us and waited another 30 minutes. During this time they asked several times about their food. Here too, the service was visibly annoyed. The women then left. Other guests noticed the drama and laughed at the poor and annoyed service. Read moreWe are staying at Rayavadee, quite a 'posh' hotel on the beach at Railey beach. Hotel food is good but horrendously expensive and we wanted something more local Plus the Walking Street is really good fun. We found this place as they had a live singer on, live BBQ outside cooking fish/ seafood family friendly , and looked like a good place. Also had a wood fired oven for my younger daughter who wanted pizza. I am a pain when it comes to good local food and I can tell you the food here is very good ! Great menu options, very reasonably priced (cost about 1/5th of what it does at the hotel) and most important great food and taste. We tried a load of different dishes and all were great.. the giant BBQ'd local prawns were exceptional! As we are all the Thai dishes. My daughter's wood fired pizza was also really good , as I finished it off !My only negative was the service (mainly drinks) when it gets busy is a little slow, so just keep politely reminding them All in all a great place...
Read moreWe’ve been in Railay for a week, and after discovering this place, we’ve come back every single day. Having lived in Bangkok for decades, I know Thai food well, and this restaurant truly impressed both me and my wife. The food is outstanding—flavorful, authentic, and cooked to perfection. The Massaman and Green Curry are absolute must-tries, and the fresh fish and shrimp are exceptional. On top of that, the atmosphere is fantastic, with live music adding to the experience. The staff and owner are incredibly warm and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. If you’re in Railay, this is a spot you...
