The restaurant’s location is right on the walkway connecting Central Chidlom and Central Embassy, so I pass by it almost every day. Today, I finally had the chance to try it out. I thought I picked the most secluded spot, but it didn’t make a difference; the seating is set up right along the mall walkway, so people kept passing by and glancing at us while we ate.
Food-wise, I’d give them high marks for speed—the service was really fast. I started with the crab salad, which came with mango sauce that paired well, though I wish the mango and avocado chunks were a bit bigger. Next, I tried the grilled salmon; the carrot sauce on this dish was amazing, with a unique, spicy kick at the end—strange but delicious! I also had the beef lasagna, which was delicious, with soft pasta layers served nice and hot. If they dialed down the salt just a touch, it’d be perfect. I wrapped up with the chocolate gelato, which was just okay—not exactly a wow.
What really impressed me, though, was the service. The manager, Paul, was super friendly and made rounds to chat with every table, making the atmosphere feel welcoming and attentive. The hostesses and servers were all great as well. When we walked up to look at the menu, one of the hostesses came right over. Later, as we sat at the table, another server with a warm smile approached, ready to help us with any recommendations. All the servers were genuinely friendly, making it clear that the staff here is trained exceptionally well. Credit goes to Paul for creating such a positive and happy environment for his team.
Overall, I’ll definitely come back since there’s another dessert I want to try—the tiramisu served with molten chocolate and coffee. Even though the location lacks privacy and was a bit disappointing in that respect, the excellent service more than made up for it, making me overlook the downsides...
Read moreWhile Eating in a walkway in a high end shopping mall in Bangkok and paying over TH 6,000.- for Lunch, we didn't expect the rudeness of the service to be as blatant as it was, as we started we asked for a bottle of French wine and asked what was the percentage of Merlot in this wine, after waiting for a while (i may say a long while as we seen a staff dressed in Black asking a foreign manager) we didn't get an answer, we therefore decided to change the wine, the original waitress (a very nice young lady from Myanmar) was very courteous and helpful through out our earlier part of the dining experience and later disappeared , at some point a staff dress in black asked my wife if we came here often (as and when my wife just had put food in her mouth!!!) how inconsiderate! we ordered a few dishes to share one by one and the food came quick and was tasty. The highlight of our disappointment came from an obviously French Manager, as when we asked to have our parking validated we were told "We are not part of Central and you need to go and do this for your self" Honestly, Mozza Team you are a TENANT and are part of Central as you are there in the walkway entrance of the...
Read moreUpdate 12/16/23 We went there again and this time there was a very noisy family a couple of tables from us. We asked the manager to inform them that the constantly loudly screaming kid was disturbing us and he promptly took care of the situation.
Original review We went there because the pizza pictures looked very tasty and as it turns out, the actual taste is indeed very good. The salad was also nice, just a bit oily for my taste.
They serve whole grain bread as a free starter and you also get a full set of condiments, like chili flakes, oregano, olive oil, balsamico vinegar, as well as my personal favorite - chili oil. Everything complements the food nicely, but then again, I would have expected that, as the pricing is clearly on the higher side.
The seating is done in an elongated style, along the walkway through the connection from the department store to the supermarket/food hall. Meaning, it is not a cozy, normal restaurant atmosphere since there is no closed off space and people keep walking past you (waiters and store customers).
Would I come here again? Yes, I think so, but the atmosphere and the pricing do take a bit away from...
