Impressive NYC Pizza Experience!
I can confidently say that this pizza joint in BKK stands out as one of the best I've ever tried! My discovery of this place was thanks to Mark Weins' engaging YouTube videos on Bangkok, and stumbling upon this gem was a stroke of luck. The hospitality and warmth shown by the staff were truly refreshing, with Nak deserving a special mention for his helpful recommendations and exceptional service. To top it off, meeting Chef Bing in person was a highlight, as his dedication to his craft shines through the delicious food we had the pleasure of savoring.
The pizza itself was a standout, with a base that was flawlessly executed – firm and robust, showcasing the perfect balance of ingredients. Our order of the XL pizza, creatively split into three delicious sections of pepperoni, Italian sausage and peppers, and a cheeseburger topping, completely exceeded our expectations. Each bite was a delightful surprise, with the Italian sausage being a personal favorite, while my son couldn't get enough of the cheeseburger flavor.
In addition to the fantastic pizza, we also indulged in the HOT sauce chicken wings, which were nothing short of excellent. This dining experience left a lasting impression, and I look forward to revisiting this charming spot on my next trip to Bangkok. Many thanks to Chef Bing for creating such a memorable...
Read morePopped into Chef Bing for an 18-inch New York style pizza - ½ classic cheese and ½ bacon cheeseburger. We went with their recommendation to "upgrade" to their new mozzarella imported from the US, but that was a waste of ฿200. Their regular cheese is just fine. In fact, I much prefer the regular cheese because it's less greasy. Besides that, the pizza was great as always. Perfectly crispy. Also loved the Spicy Tamarind Wings.
They also serve legit Buffalo wings, which I've gotten on previous visits.
Prices are all over the place. Pizza prices are fair and in line with others around town. Soft drink prices are very friendly. ฿30 each. Beer prices are the opposite. Very pricey. ฿120 per SMALL bottle. Other places charge less for a BIG bottle. And they charge extra for ice, which is free in most restaurants. And they charge ฿50 for a small side of parmean cheese. Most pizza restaurants give this for free. On the plus side, there's no ++ surcharges. So all together, it balances out to a fair price.
Please note that they play rap music with hardcore lyrics. It doesn't bother me, but if my dad were to come here, he would walk out in...
Read moreFinally, I've found some good, authentic pizza in Bangkok! Really, Chef Bing's pizza is the best. The quality of the crust and ingredients is first-rate, and they're truly generous with ingredients -- plenty of mushrooms, plenty of spinach, plenty of everything. The shrimp scampi appetizer was also excellent -- not too oily or garlicky, and again, a generous portion. We also appreciated the efficient, friendly service and the nice selection of cold beer. I will be going back to Chef Bing's again and again. One note: if you're trying to decide between the Ruam Rudi or the Sukhumvit 36 location, we went to the Sukhumvit 36 branch first, and they don't offer everything that the Ruam Rudi branch does, including beer. Also, the Sukhumvit 36 branch has counter seating only, and it's very limited. I get the impression that this branch exists primarily for delivery to the Thonglor area. If you want a sit-down meal with Chef Bing's full menu, definitely head to the Ruam Rudi branch. It is excellent. You won't be...
