Massilia Italian Restaurant's flagship branch fully deserves its 5-star rating, offering an exceptional Italian dining experience that excels in both food quality and service.
The restaurant stands out for its delicious pizza, showcasing a mastery of this Italian staple. The quality of the pizza likely indicates the use of fresh ingredients, well-prepared dough, and authentic cooking methods, providing diners with a taste of genuine Italian flavors.
Equally impressive is the lasagna, described as very good. This classic Italian dish being executed so well speaks to the kitchen's skill in preparing traditional recipes. A well-made lasagna requires a perfect balance of pasta, sauce, cheese, and filling, and Massilia seems to have nailed this complex dish.
The staff at Massilia receives praise for being friendly, which significantly enhances the dining experience. Attentive and warm service creates a welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel comfortable and appreciated. This level of hospitality complements the high-quality food, rounding out a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
While not explicitly mentioned, the fact that both pizza and lasagna are highlighted suggests that Massilia offers a diverse menu of Italian favorites, likely catering to various tastes and preferences.
The restaurant's status as a flagship branch implies that it sets the standard for other Massilia locations, which speaks well of the overall brand quality.
For anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere with great service, Massilia Italian Restaurant's flagship branch appears to be an excellent choice. Whether you're in the mood for a perfect pizza, a comforting lasagna, or exploring other Italian dishes, this restaurant seems to offer a top-notch dining experience that captures the essence of Italian culinary...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews – if I don’t like a restaurant, I just don’t go back, and if I enjoy it, I return. But this is different, because when health is involved, it’s not something to take lightly.
I work as chef and have over 20 years of experience with Italian cuisine, so I was really looking forward to bringing my partner’s family to Massilia to enjoy good Italian food together. The restaurant itself looks beautiful and well-designed, and the service was polite and attentive , nothing to say about that part.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share: arancini, meatballs, bruschetta, an antipasto, one pasta, two pizzas, “Le Baba,” and a tiramisù. The bill came to 6,600 baht for four people, which already felt extremely overpriced for what we got. Unfortunately, the worst part came afterwards: two of my partner’s uncles became very sick, with fever and stomach cramps, and I ended up in the hospital. I have now been hospitalized for three days, diagnosed with a gastrointestinal infection , and I still need to stay longer. Honestly, it’s been one of the worst experiences of my life. We strongly suspect the tiramisù was the cause.
I am extremely disappointed. I never thought I’d have to worry about getting so sick in an Italian restaurant abroad – if anything, I expected to be more careful with street food in Thailand, not here. I sincerely hope the owner takes this review seriously and improves food safety and quality, because no guest should ever end up in the hospital after what should have been a...

This Italian restaurant has always been one of my favorites in Bangkok — the food is amazing, and I’ve had consistently great experiences in the past. However, my recent visit left me quite disappointed.
The manager was not present during our visit, and the person in charge didn’t seem capable of maintaining the usual standards. We ordered a salad, pizza, and pasta. Unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked. When I politely questioned it, the person in charge insisted that the pasta was cooked “in their way” — which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Despite this, he did agree to take the dish back and cook it a bit longer. I thanked him sincerely for listening, and I was happy with the result after the pasta was properly cooked.
However, the overall experience didn’t feel like the professional, high-standard restaurant I used to know and love. I was disappointed not only with the undercooked pasta but also with the way we were treated.
This used to be one of the best Italian restaurants in Bangkok, but it no longer feels like the same place. I’m not sure if I’ll return or recommend it again unless they reassess their service and food quality to ensure they meet the standards they once had.
What made it worse was the 10.7% service charge added to the bill. We paid nearly 900 baht, which would have been fine if the service had matched the price — but in this case, it felt...
