Peppina at Central Embassy — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

PEPPINA is a great restaurant to come and have great Italian food. The food was of high quality, and the service we received was great.

Our party of 5 ordered a variety of food, but some of the highlights for us was the Beef Carpaccio, Grilled Spicy Baby Chicken, and the Pizzas. The Beef Carpaccio was refreshing and the addition of shaved truffle really pulled the dish all together. The Grilled Spicy Chicken was also very nice that we ended up ordering 2 serves.

Sadly, there was one dish that was underwhelming. The Octopus and Farro dish I have taken a picture could definitely be improved. Firstly the ratio between octopus and farro was just off, there was just not enough and the octopus was tough and hard to chew. However, the Farro was well made and we enjoyed that at least.

The service was great, our server did an amazing job and I commend him for his effort. The atmosphere was also very calming which made the experience even better, would recommend as a meet up spot I'd you are in the area in Bangkok.

Overall, a great experience and was impressed with the food. There is some improvements that would make Peppina at Central Embssy even better, but as for now, I enjoyed...

The food is good and the restaurant itself is pleasant. The service overall was okay.

However, my experience was spoiled by an unacceptable situation. Two guests at a nearby table were holding a phone conference on speaker, disturbing people ariund them... This, combined with the background music, made the environment quite noisy!

I politely informed someone who appeared to be a manager, expecting them to kindly ask those guests to behave considerately— holding a phone conference on speaker in a restaurant at lunchtime is simply inappropriate! Instead, I was offered to change tables!!! And I had just received my food, which was still hot and fresh!!!

This was the wrong approach. The guests who were being inconsiderate should have been asked to stop, rather than shifting the inconvenience onto me—especially since changing tables would not only disrupt my meal, but also cause my food to get colder in the process.

Because of this, I cannot give more than two stars. A restaurant should protect the comfort of all its guests and handle situations like...
